If we are going to complain about bigs and rebounding, I will express my complaint. OU gives up way too many wide open 3 point shots

This is not a good defensive team.

We are a terrible defensive team. Odoms is our best perimeter defender and he is not quick.
Trae could be a very good defender, but Lon tells him to play soft. He has quick hands / feet and is a smart player.

Our lack of quickness is glaring on defense and RB. A rebound can bounce and the other team has 2-3 players fighting for it with no OU player nearby.

With the hand-check rule, I think are perimeter defense is acceptable. Where the breakdowns happen are on multiple screens (Manek just gets lost); Khadeem and Jamuni trying to block every shot into the crowd and getting out of position; and finally, no one giving any effort to box out.

The problem is not containing the dribbler compounded by the fact that OU's guards don't rotate when the bigs have to help.

That leads to wide open 3 after wide open 3.
