With the Big 12 upon us now, what's your thoughts.

Currently at 9-3, if we go 9-7 in the Big 12 and 1-1 in the tournament that would leave us at 19-11. Does that get us in?

We play 18, not 16 games in the Big 12.

I think we have to go 10-8 and maybe 11-7, and 1-1 in the Tournament just to have a shot at Dancing.

Had we taken care of business against SFA, 10-8 probably would have for sure gotten us in, and 9-9 we'd have had an outside shot.

We won't know until we see how strong the Big 12 really is. The strength of schedule will be as important and the number of wins. Maybe halfway through conference we will have a better idea. At least that is my thought.

Oh sheez... thanks for the correction. :facepalm

Thought we could get to 9 wins... not sure about 10.

We need 20+ wins & a top 4 finish in conference. Our RPI is #28 but the B12 only has 5 teams in the top 70. No way the Big12 gets more than 5 and probably only 4.

Agree. We have no quality wins so far...and a bad loss at home.

If we go 10-8 in the conference we will be in the top 4 or 5. I know the conference is down this year but most conferences are. Probably the Big 10 is the exception. I think it unlikely that the conference would get less than 5 in the final 68, certainly not less than 4. Also we should get a decent first opponent in the conference tournament.

yeah, it may be tough to get real quality wins unless we beat Kansas or OSU.

beating Kansas may be close to impossible, but beating OSU shouldnt be out of the question. Kruger beat them last year. Capel was 5-0 against them in Norman.

The last time we lost to OSU in Norman was Kelvins group with Drew Lavendar when Tony Allen was doing show-dunks. Bluck!

While I'm not predicting it, besting KU in Norman wouldn't shock me. We played 2 really good halves against them last year. Regardless of record or ranking, this isn't the same old KU.

9-3 now
10-8 conference
1-1 Tournament

20-11 Final Record- Is on bubble for sure. Somehow get 11-7 and I think we are in if go at least 1-1 in tournament.

Wins needed for 11- @Tech, @TCU, @WVU, @Iowa St or @Kansas St
Baylor, Kansas St, Texas, Iowa St, Tech, TCU, WVU
