Again this should be more interesting than Jeff Capel sucks or Jeff Capel is the greatest guy in the world.

Who thinks Nebraska makes the Tournament?

I think KU, Texas, Missouri, KSU and A&M are in (in fact I know most of them are). Nebraska has 19 wins and could pick up two more. CU on the road and the first round of the Big XII are winnable games for Nebraska. Nebraska has good wins against Texas, A&M and Missouri. Unfortunately for Nebraska they lost by 1 point to ISU and Tech. If they don't make it, they will look at those games as the primary reason. Other close losses were KU by 3, Baylor by 4 and KSU by 4. Honestly, Nebraska isn't too far from being 12-3 with one game left. With that said, you can equally say they are not that far from 4-11 because they won close games against Texas, OU and ISU (OU and ISU were both 1 point wins).

I hope they make it.

The fact that they are Nebraska doesn't help. If OU, OSU, aTm...teams that are used to being in the tournament had their resume...they would be in it...but since there a team thats never in it, its a long shot. Same goes for Colorado...Their names don't do them any justice.

Nebraska has zero quality wins out of confrence, they have no good road wins, and have wins over A&M, Texas, and Mizzou at home. Its a not a strong resume but 68 teams have to get in. The winner of the Colorado/Nebraska game will have a chance with a strong Big 12 tourny showing to be one of the last at large teams in.

Has any Sadler coached team ever gone to the NCAA tourney......other than one he inherited from BCG? Enough said!

I think the winner of the Nebraska-Colorado game stands a fair shot to make it, assuming they win one game in the Big 12 Tournament.

You youngsters crack me up. A&M used to making the Tournament? Really? A&M has been to 11 Tournaments in the history of the program. In the last 30 years they have made it 6 times (they also made in 1981 - so 7 times in 31years. I fully appreciate that A&M has turned a corner in Basketball (5 consecutive Tournaments, soon to be 6) and is doing much better but I don't think too many people over 40 would say A&M is used to making the tournament. I also think the people on the selection committtee will be over 40.

You view the world (as did I at your age) from such a limited perspective. I don't mean that as an insult because I did it and I think everyone does it when they are young but history is not the last 5 years.

Its about what you've done for me lately.

Not really. The programs that get the benefit of the doubt are schools like Mich State, Kentucky, Kansas, Duke, Indiana, North Carolina, Arizona, UCLA, etc. Not A&M, at least not yet in my opinion.

I think A&M is still one of those schools (like Nebraska) that runs the risk of being left out to include a mid-major.

Agreed. I didn't think A&M fit in that topic, either.

The ISU loss really hurt them..

They need to beat CU in Boulder and win another game in the Big 12 tournament, I think.

Bump for the people complaining about the "Capel Bash" threads.

No, unless they get to the semis of the Big 12 and the teams ahead of them all falter down the stretch. The proverbial bubble sucks this year, so that's their only shot to make it.

With the addition of 4 teams i think the winner of CU/NU gets in as long as they win the 1st round game on the big 12 tourny (Both teams should be favored in said games)

You can tell from the replies that abd did NOT start this Nebraska thread.
