Has anyone watched the dream team documentary on the nba channel yet? It is very good, and well worth the time. It's on again tonight at 11 pm so set your dvr. I think it only will be shown 2 more times, so you don't want to miss it.

Very good. Enjoyed learning about the little things I wasn't aware of...like Isiah Thomas hatred, relationship between Daly and Jordan, and the scrimmage between the college kids and the Dream Team and Coach K's take on it all.

i had heard about the first game and how the college kids won, and that the next day the Dream team blew them off the court. What i did not know was what coach K said about Daly throwing the first game to put it in the heads of players that they could be beat in a game if they were not serious about playing as a team.

Glad you enjoyed it. I too liked all those aspects of it.

I also got a laugh out of the clothes worn back in the early 90's. Jorts were everywhere!:ez-roll:

It was fantastic.

Two things I thought were hilarious:

  • John Stockton walking the streets of Barcelona, totally unrecognized... even by the woman who was wearing a Dream Team shirt.
  • Scottie Pippen, decked out in a horrible early 90s hat/shirt/shorts combo, walking around on the Monte Carlo beaches with a gigantic camcorder...looking for topless chicks.

:woot

The other thing that I really took away from that... you really got a sense of why Magic was "Magic." Talk about a guy with a 1,000-watt personality.

Also, the stuff with Barkley was great. "I don't know anything about Angola... but Angola in trouble."

I really enjoyed the hilarious clip where Barkley was complaining about his hangovers in practice due in part to Larry Bird's love for Budweiser. I can see Bird forcing Barkley to drink those with him.
