According to Rivals, Rickey Scott has two frontrunners at this time: Mizzou and Arkansas.

I hope the fact we're passing on a good player is good news.

My thoughts exactly. This is either an indication of a top notch class or bad news right?
Sounds like Arkansas..
Interesting.
Not sure what part of the article gave you that conclusion.
Mizzou is the only school he's been seriously considering that he's never seen in person. We are in his top two despite this. He'll have an in-home visit with Anderson right before he takes his trip to Arkansas. Unless Arkansas just flat out blows him away, I don't see why he wouldn't wait to see MU on a visit before making the call. If he's been willing to keep MU at or near the top this long, he might as well check it out.
Also... they already have Mardracus Wade committed. Wade and Scott are both combo type guards who could play together, but it may not be what Scott's looking for.

This kid would kill at Mizzou. Anderson would turn him into a uptempo beast on both ends of the court.
I am not sure he has the handles or the consistency from long range to be a beast on the offensive end. I do think he can have a major impact on the defensive end, and can do well in transition (from the midrange or finishing full length at the rim.
I wish Rickey well wherever he ends up. He grew up a Sooner basketball fan, and that's enough for me!
Gotta hand it to you. You may be a bigger homer than DFW. lol
None of Anderson's guys are really perimeter fill it up guys. Anderson is a guy that uses backdoor cuts, screens and Iso's to get guys attempts around the bucket. He's a guy that can finish around the bucket and probably be very effective from 15ft in.
The guy who shot the most was a three point specialist that Anderson didn't even recruit. Anderson's teams have never had guys who were three point specialist. Even Squeaky Johnson, who was a decent shooter, was more of a drive first guy.
Squeaky Johnson was not a scorer at all. He was a distributor.
Lawrence did take the most threes out of anybody last year, but Denmon and English both took quite a few, as well, and they were both Anderson recruits.
I'm pretty sure his UAB teams frequently took a ton of threes, as well.
About the only thing that will remain a constant every year with Mike Anderson's teams will be that they are guard oriented. Beyond that, it depends on the individual talents and which guys get open looks within the offense.
