I assume all of our commitments will be signing Wednesday or Thursday. They can only take the LOI's for 1 week. I will be happy to get these guys finalized. I looked to see if there was any news on Marques Bolden and there is nothing being reported.

KU has picked up a few crystal ball picks over the last 2 weeks. Now Duke and KU tied. But Meyer the main guy says it's just guessing at this point. 2 Bama picks yesterday as well.

Like you, I'll feel better when all of our 2016 commits have signed an LOI. I don't expect Bolden to sign with anyone in the early period. He said in an interview I saw not long ago that he didn't plan to sign until the late signing period in April.

EDIT: Found this tweet from Jeff Borzello @jeffborzello

Asked Marques Bolden's father about a decision during the early signing period: "No plans at this time." Five-star big man.

I know you read that writeup from James Hale on OUI on 10/26 about how his OU visit went. I thought it was very positive. It gives us a puncher's chance.

You're right, I did read it, and it made me believe OU has a better chance of signing Bolden than most people think. There are no certainties in recruiting. But I'm definitely not going to throw in the towel and give up hope on bringing in a player who could be a difference maker on a very good team next year.

Has he taken all of his officials yet?

It's hard not to get your hopes up when it comes to a guy that would most likely start day one. Since we have a good group of commitments already hopefully the staff will recruit him all the way until he commits somewhere.

I think he has visited 4 of his top 5 schools officially: OU, Kentucky, Duke, and Kansas. He has only visited Alabama unofficially from what I gather. CoachTalk indicated his voting trend on Crystal Ball. They show KU, Duke, and Alabama as the only ones receiving votes but all his recent votes are either for Kansas or Alabama.

AdaSooner said a national recruiting analyst, Jeff Borzello, said everyone is just guessing. Marques is being very discreet and not giving any hints.

Doolittle is signing at 9:35 Wednesday morning. McGusty is also planning on signing Wednesday.

Freeman also plans to sign tomorrow. No word on Strong yet.

Especially since we don't have any other needs in the class. If we miss on him it won't cause us to miss other players by focusing just on him because it doesn't seem we are targeting anybody else in the class.

As of yesterday, Doolittle planned to sign at 9:35. McGusty says he will sign "around 2". No word on the Strong/Freeman signing times.
