Elijah Harkless is a thief, and a good one! He had 3 steals again last night. Actually, he had 4, but an erroneous foul call on the one Boulder pointed out in the game thread erased one of them.

He has collected 3 steals in each of the last three games, a total of 13 steals in the last five. The intangibles Elijah brings to the floor in every game, especially on defense, have made a huge contribution to an improving record that includes three wins over Top 10 nationally teams!

I love the kid....not all transfers are equal for sure. But he has been the perfect fit for OU's team. Love his toughness and his ability to make the little plays that make a difference in winning games.

I love Gibson as well, LK hit it big with the two transfers.

I love Gibson as well, LK hit it big with the two transfers.

I was thrilled when we signed Gibson, happier still when he was declared eligible to play this season. I had no idea Harkless was this good. Reports that he would redshirt were premature, or he developed faster than anyone thought possible.

Either way, I’m glad both transfers are on our roster and playing well!

he is such a complete player. all praise to him, during a mess of a college basketball season, to acclimate himself and become an integral part of the team in less than a month.
