Fears SEC freshman of the week

The difference between this years team and last years team is we have 2 guys who can get 20.

Actually he only got 20 2x before Christmas and 2x after.

Fears currently has 3x by Black Friday.
And Oweh had three before Christmas last season. Point being, people were absolutely in love with our backcourt 12 months ago. I think Fears is better than any of last year’s guards, but we won’t know how this team will score the ball compared to last year till we get to the real part of the schedule.

Very true. No need to overreact one way or another. It’s okay to be optimistic but things could definitely change come conference season.

Absolutely, and I'm deeply grateful to WS for reminding us of that fact at every single opportunity. It would be such a waste of time and energy for us to enjoy the non-conference schedule. The prudent move is for us to tamp down any enthusiasm or excitement we might feel until early February at the soonest.

Eh, it’s been a tough three years. I really don’t blame anyone for being overally negative. In some ways it’s a coping mechanism. You love a team but hate being disappointed so better to be on the side of caution. A tournament birth will solve a lot.

And we are always so thankful to have you ride in on your white horse to save the day.

Or maybe the Bedwetters aren’t even OU fans??

I'm a wait-and-see guy myself, but if one can't enjoy and even celebrate the victories along the way--on their own terms without fretting over whether they'll count for much come tourney selection time--what's the point? No one's getting over their skis here and predicting postseason--or even in-conference--success. If we collapse in SEC play, I'll do my share of squawking, but no need to be preemptive about it. In the meantime, I'm going to enjoy and celebrate every victory along the way.
