Fire Porter Moser

Cant tell people anything. They know it all.

I still think its 50/50 but if we miss.

I have said before. It’s time to move on.
I think maybe it’s time to part ways. But our fans are going to be extremely disappointed if we don’t get more NIL support. It’s also a tossup as to whether you end up with a coach that’s better than Moser. And therefore, I have a very weak feelings, one way or the other.

If phone books still exist, I could randomly open one and point to a name with my eyes closed and I am confident we would end up with a better coach. If we hire someone who has never heard of basketball, he or she would come within one tourney appearance of matching Moser.

We gave moser more NIL and he wasted it. Hes not going to suddenly become a good coach. Hes not a big league coach. Send him back to the minor leagues.

Maybe we need a demonstration to get the point across. Someone drag the popcorn machine out of the dumpster and set in on fire again…on Denny’s front lawn.

Moser has lost the fanbase. We are going to waste another season, for what?
Gave him more doesn’t equal gave him enough. How much better would this team be with a legit 5?

Im not defending PM. He deserves every bit of heat he gets. But, some of you guys rip him to shreds when they underperform (again, he deserves the criticism) but give him zero credit when they perform well (like the current streak).

He hasn't been nearly as good as we'd all like but he isn't as bad as someone you want to make him with statements like this one.

I'd like to see how someone else could do but we may be stuck with PM for another year already.

I see your point. My counter: I truly don’t think a coach deserves credit if his team only plays close to their potential for essentially a quarter of the season.

moser should be fired even if he wins the sec tournament.
good coaches win consistently. getting hot and winning a few games at the end of the season shouldn't save his job.
look at nc state/keatts. dude got hot and made the final 4. they still fired him the next year.

Which I would agree with to a point but most out there would say that you want to be playing your best basketball by the end of the season which usually marks the sign of a good team/coach which is what OU is currently doing regardless of who they are playing.

I'm not giving props to the guy for the current overall record but during/after a 9-game losing streak, honestly, I didn't think OU had a shot in hell at even 18 wins. The coach/team stayed together and continued to fight which you normally don't see in a lot of teams which I do give Moser credit for keeping it together.

after making the bad choice to keep him ..

although I will concede if OU makes the final 4 PM can stay .. (just no extension)

He should have been fired a month ago. If you lose 9 games in a row you should lose your right to try to “get hot at the end of the year.” He’s a terrible coach and should get the ax.
yep the gutless wonder Joe C should have done that then .. and we all could be routing for the Sooners now as one ..

I don't think there are going to be a lot of years where OU has better than Wague, The Russian, and Rogers at the five. Couple that with two quality "big" forwards in Davis and Reid, and "inside play" shouldn't be a big issue.

And guards are what win college basketball games and we have a couple of good ones in Pack and Brown.

I don't ever want to have another season like this again. Do you root for your team because you love them, or do you root against your team so they'll fire the coach?

We've been on a Porter Moser death watch for two months and we suddenly find ourselves on the bubble for the NCAA tournament. It shouldn't be like this in Year 5.
