Man, Fitz is turning into a tremendous player. Osby is very good. Pledger is very good. Anytime those three guys shoot, you just know its going down.

Like we all talked about a few weeks ago, this team is ONE GUY away from being pretty darn good. I mean, ISU hit 16 three's and OU was still in a position to win the game. M'Baye is probably that guy. It looks like they need a 3-point gunner on the wing as well. They need to recruit over Cameron Clark it looks like. Guy cant shoot to save his life, nor can he handle the ball.

That ISU team shot the lights out and took advantage of double-teams on White all day. Who would have thought Royce White would score 3 points and take 1 shot, and they would win?

We had that one guy. remember Newell? OU could easily have a few more w's with him on the team.

I wouldn't be so quick to give up on Cam. What do you think is wrong with his shot and dribbling?

Fitzgerald is not very good, Osby not very good, pledger yes with more players like him, unfortunately we have none, but you can dream if you want

We lost this game because of defense. We just didn't do a good job against the 3 at all. If we had Newell right now we would be a top 25 caliber team by now.

Nick- don't just say it was bad defense, it was over defense. Too much focus on White when he didn't do squat. All the focus on him opened up the three ball and they knocked them down.

That's coaching; at some point coach has got to realize the stragety is all wrong.

I think we are easily a top 25 team with Newell. Too bad it didn't work out.

Exactly. Kruger double teamed White all game and we paid for it all game. Instead of White getting 20 off 1-2 FT's or layups/dunks, we gave up open 3's all game long.

But I agree. Pledge, Fitz and Osby are all good players. I think Clark is a big-time talent. To me, Grooms playing 35+ mins a game is the problem. He is like Doug Gottlieb. Not being able to shoot means his man sags off and helps on Osby, Pledger and Fitz all game every game.

If Kruger would just let Blair play more PG, let Neal play more wing our offense would be so much more effective. As it is, our offense is very frustrating.

Our defense is ok, but Kruger had the wrong gameplan tonight. The Mayor won this one. First time we've lost to ISU in a few years.

i thought the communication between players (guards mainly on defense) was bad. Those guys have to anticipate and recognize those screens better and switch defenders quicker...

Good points and I agree and like the idea on Blair playing strictly point. You know you're not going to get many points from him and Grooms so why have them both on the floor at the same time. Just make him the backup pg and get Neal some minutes. He has show the ability to score, he just needs more opportunities. Doing as you suggested would give him that.

The longer this season goes, the more I'm starting to think Clark is a big time recruiting bust. He just can't seem to do much of anything. Maybe he's playing out of position but he's not tall enough or good enough to move Osby or Fitz out. Maybe it's time to put Neal there and give him 7-8 games of starting and playing 30+ minutes per game to see if he can do better?

Our defense failed us. Fitz is a good player except defensively. He is lost, dazed and confused on defense. ISt. had several easy buckets just driving right down the middle for layups. He doesnt see the floor. Osby is better-has better awareness.

Fitz is absolutely atrocious on the defensive end and with rebounding. He is a 1st or 2nd guy off the bench type player. He is able to provide some good offensive production but typically gives up as much, if not more, on the defensive end. He had 3 rebounds with 37 minutes played tonight. CJ did that in 10 minutes.

Neal cannot play the wing most nights. He gets abused. There are very few matchups in conference play that wouldn't exploit him being on the floor. Not trying to bash the kid, but it's played out exactly how I said it would. I guess I'm not completely disagreeing with you, he certainly wouldn't hurt us on the offensive end any more than Cam is, but when it comes to rebounding or defending, he is considerably less effective then Cam.

:neal can't keep up on D...I love the energy he brings though.

I would say that Tyler is less effective offensively. He has shot awful in conference play. While Cam's shooting hasn't been much better he is always looking for the alley-oop, the quick dunk, or the offensive rebound. Not to mention those dunks/oops help bring our crowd back into the game and deflate the oppositions crowd.

He's only a sophomore and he's already a recruiting bust...give me a break. Some of you guys jump ship so fast on these young players. Its the same story we see every year...just a new guy. I've seen this written about pledger and Cade Davis in the past...and so many more players that turned out to be good players with experience.

I wish was anything like Gottlieb. He doesn't have the speed or the hands that he had.

I'm not ready to call Cam a bust, but he needs to quickly figure out that he's not a jump shooter.

Well he cant dribble either.. the only thing he can do on offense is run the baseline for the occasional alley-oop lob.

Considering how you TRASHED Fitz and Pledger before the season started, and now have obviously eaten your words, your analysis of Cam probably means he is going to be a star in the next couple of years.
