Flopper to the Celtics with the 6th Pick

Smart ended up 2-8 I think. He did have 5-6 steals. Didn't see any assists but he played the 2 the entire game and Pressey played pg.

Have to admit though that Smart is a very instinctive defender. That will be his strength in the NBA.

He played point when Pressey left the court, I think.

But I think they won't have any problem playing him off the ball this year, as a backup to Bradley, if Rondo starts the year with the C's.

3-15 and I think 2 of those were wide open layups in the open court.

Smart is now 5-23 from the floor and 1-10 from three. If he ever learns to shoot, though, he could be a Chauncey Billups type player.

Yes, but you're not taking into account his intangibles, which are simply off the charts.

Lol, even the NBA Network announcers were going on and on about his "leadership" and "being a winner", then they were going on about how super-strong he was and how he can overpower smaller players, right before someone breathed on him and he hit the floor like a ton of bricks and drew a foul.

ha smart is shooting 21.7% from Field and 10% from 3 haha

His 3 baskets yesterday were 2 layups and a 3 pointer, he had 3 airballs on 3 point shots

Haha dude is garbage and I've never understood the hype.. Sure he plays pretty good defense but he might be the worst shooting ball handler in the league..

he actually went to the team that might have the worst shooting PG in the league...

Here's the difference: Rondo knows he isn't there to shoot.

He averaged 6, 9, & 9 FGA his first 3 seasons when his averages were coming up. You think Smart will average 6 FG/game his rookie year? Uhh no

On top of that, he contributes 8.4 ast on his career, and almost 2 steals.

Will be interesting to see if Smart learns to shoot better quickly, or if he evolves his game to take less shots. If not he will just become another combo guard that forces shots to get his points. It looks good for a little bit, but you can't win with it (Tyreke Evans anyone?)

I wonder if the coaching staff is telling him to shoot 3s so they can evaluate him or if he's launching that many on his own.
