Booker has attempted 10 shots this season, 9 of them are 3's. If you count the exhibitions he has attempted 28 shots this year, 22 of them being 3's.

Booker is Kelley Newton, Eric Martin, etc. 3pt specialist. He hasn't shot well in the past 2 games but he will have games where he catches fire. That is the nature the of the 3pt specialist and they are essential to having a really good team. Every good team needs a 3pt gunner.

I think it's a combination of playing to his strength's, and playing to a) what the team needs, and b) what the team seems to be doing in terms of running offense.

Our guards are shooting a lot of threes in general. So it only makes sense that the guy that is probably our second best three point shooter is taking a lot of them.

If you can't see Booker has the ability both now and in his upperclassmen years to "do more" if needed, I don't know what to say.

I think you're both right in that Booker is doing exactly what the coaches want him to do in our offense. It's not that he can't put the ball on the floor and drive on defenders. He showed us last year that he can be more than a three point specialist. I remember how surprised we were by his athleticism and his ability to block shots, rebound and defend. It's just that we don't need him to drive the lane and create his own shot. That's a role reserved mostly for Hield, Cousins and Woodard, as well as Thomas and Spangler to some extent. We need Booker to play to his greatest strength: knock down threes.

I don't think Booker has a complete game, I just think everyone was pleasantly surprised on how much more of a complete game that he had. His athleticism shocked me last year. He is farther along rebounding and defending than I ever expected and his overall offensive game will improve over time.

Also as mentioned above he is needed as a 3pt specialist to spread the floor to allow Woodard & Cousins to penetrate since they are better at that and he is a better shooter.

Dont you have to shoot your way out of a slump?

Well, Hield and Cousins don't seem to interested in driving the lane between last year and the first few games this year. When Jordan drives hee rarely seems to be able to finish successfully whether he shoots or passes. All of them seem to have fallen in love with the 3 pointer......and this is now a part of Spangler's and Lattin's game?? I just don't see why Booker's game should be limited also. If this team would learn how to work from the inside out, they could be much more effective when they do shoot those ouside shots.

, where have you been?

Booker love his confidence and most of his shots look like they are going in. Pure shooter, every shot is going in mindset.
