Striker did not make it worse, and here's why: he made a valid point while frustrated in a way that showed his passion and his anger, which lets you see just how deep some of the wounds go. THEN being a true man and a respectable human being, he had the heart to get back on camera and say: I'm sorry for the WAY I said those things, but I'm not sorry for saying what I said.

Question for you guys who follow our players on twitter.
Any new tweets from Dante, Jamuni or any of the other players? If there was more to the #freedante post than a simple explanation similar to the one I posted earlier, I find it hard to believe we haven't seen a follow up tweet from anyone. Just a thought I had.
The players have learned that they can entertain themselves by posting obscure hash tags (e.g., #freedante ), and then sit back and watch the turmoil, speculation, and needless angst that spews forth on message boards, as posters with no information try to figure out what is going on. The message board posters dream up worst-case scenarios as the players roll on the floor laughing their arse off reading the uninformed speculation.
Schadenfreude for college students, at the expense of old farts.
Do you really think the players routinely read message boards? Surely they have better things to do with their time. I certainly did when I was young.
When I was writing those practice reports, Tyler would gig me now and then if I had been especially hard on him. Past that, I never had an inclination any of the rest of them paid much attention to it.
Would it surprise you to learn that OU players have been reading this board almost since it opened more than six years ago?
I know for a fact that it started when Blake, Taylor, Cade, etc. where teammates. Two that I know of were registered here. They rarely posted. But I was told they read what posters were saying in a dorm room or apartment somewhere and laughed their arses off at the after-game critiques. Capel and his mother were members here, too.
All of that may sound strange or silly, but it's been going on for a long time. Thus, I have no problem in believing what Traveler said about their twitter accounts. I have even thought that Dante and Jamuni may be having a ball laughing at how everyone got all bent out of shape following a mysterious two words tweet: #freedante
I would be surprised and it does sound strange and silly.
