This is from last night's game:

Points in the paint-STET 18, OU 38.
Points off turnovers-STET 6, OU 13.
2nd chance points-STET 10, OU 15.
Fast break points-STET 0, OU 2.

For a team loaded with guards with an emphasis on running, it seems that points off turnovers at 13 is very low. The fast break points is almost non-existent.

I'm not sure this is accurate. I wonder how fast break is defined. I remember Aaryn hitting two wing 3's on run-outs. Also, Stetson was pretty fast themselves.

Stetson plays Marist style basketball on both offense and defense. You are not going to get many fast break points on those types of teams.

They don't win their conference with athletic talent. They are very well coached, take care of the ball and have decent outside shooters. So they work the ball until a trey is open or they get around someone and draw a foul going to the hoop. The new rules will really help this team.

Fast break points in first 3 games:

Cameron- 12
UCO- 6
Stetson- 2

If you want to be good at fast breaks, you have to rebound, make a quick outlet pass, followed by another pass downcourt. We seldom attempt a quick outlet pass.

I think that last night we tended to go down the middle, and the defense went there, too. We tossed it out to the side or corner rather than drive against the defense, and we never hit the shot. No fast break points. Even if we had hit it, would it have been fast break, or is that considered secondary break? We weren't getting the one on none runouts last night. I think we guarded passing lanes more against Cameron than we did against Stetson. We played pretty much straight up.
