GAME 17 - OKLAHOMA (11-5) vs #19 FLORIDA (11-5) 8:00pm CST on ESPN2

The fact that Dayton, as rusty or bad as he's been playing, was our 2nd leading minutes guy off the bench...astounding. And Kirill only out-played him in minutes because Moser had no other choice to; he was the best player on the team last night.

I pray I am wrong - but this team looks like they have quit, especially on defense and rebounding. Get down big and then everybody out to get 'mine' on offense. Sure, we can score. But we gave up 105 to Nebraska, 86 to ASU (LOLOLOL), 83 to A&M who couldn't get to that number last night in 2OT and now 96 to Florida.

Is it possible to be on a 7 game losing streak before Texas at home to end the month?!
First sentence is wild and incompetent

i said in another thread that forsythe wouldn't get many minutes going forward. i was wrong.
didn't think moser was that stupid. but apparently he is.

Dayton "I've hit as many threes as a dead guy in the past two months" Forsythe. Not saying I dislike him. I dislike the coach who plays him way too many minutes.
Its just common sense.. hes going throw a funk at best, why would you play him a ton of mins, unless this stat is because he played a lot more mop up mins... THEN it does make total sense if thats the case. We need him to get out of this

Define a ton of minutes.
In his three games this month he has played 6, 8, and 16

And it's not like we have 5 other guys on the bench who can handle the PG duties. Dayton is a very good shooter, and I have zero problem with him shooting 3's when he is open. The only way you get out of a slump, is to shoot your way out of it. He's literally attempted 2 3's since his return back from the ankle issue. The kid lit it up in HS and shot 45% from 3 last year...he can shoot.

my problem with him is he never shoots. It is like he is getting told not to

He’s timid. Has no confidence. He fought that last year even when he was shooting well. He pump faked so many times when he was open.

I agree that having shooters shoot themselves out of a slump can be a good approach, but not in this situation. He has given us nothing else of value, and it isn’t like he is a good enough shooter that he is going to start carrying the team once he gets out of his slump. He is 2 for his last 29 including twos. His defense isn’t good, he isn’t athletic enough to break down defenses, and he isn’t big enough to to finish if he does get to the rim. It’s great to have a third handler but I’d rather just ride with X and Pack. If Dayton eventually breaks out of it when he gets spot minutes due to fouls, great. But don’t put him in close games by choice like Loser has been doing.

Forsythe is not a power 4 player. We should have processed him after last year. He has been beyond horrible this season
He is easily a P4 player. I thought he’d take a step forward after a promising freshman year. He looks terrified this year, no idea what happened.

Northwestern has very, very minimal history as a basketball program, having only ever made the NCAA tournament two times. Their head coach's winning percentages are pretty similar to Porter Moser's. Right now, they are 8-8 and 0-5 in Big Ten play and playing a home game against #13 Illinois. The spread is bigger than Florida's pre-game spread was last night. And yet... it's a sold out game! Not an empty seat in the house. Oh! And did I mention that the Bulls are playing at home down the road?

It's time for OU to move on from Porter, but goodness gracious, OU basketball fans are so bad and spoiled. It will be an uphill battle for anyone who takes over.

Serious question. How many of the fans there are Illinois fans vs Northwestern fans?

I agree. I think he can be a very good player with the right coach. He isn’t going to be a superstar but he is capable of being a solid player.
