I agree with this. But most the people online and on social media who are still defending MMM seem to be arguing that he isn’t succeeding because of a lack of support, and that’s what I disagree with.

Some of the home teams that pulled upsets tonight had great crowds. But the thing that strikes me is this: Stanford and Texas have first or second year coaches. Their fans turned out for a ranked opponent. And their team rewarded them. Moser had that same scenario so many times his first four years, and he lost damn near every time. That’s why I have reached the point where I don’t blame the fans. And trust me, when I was younger and regularly driving over 5 hours round trip and getting home after 1:00 on weeknights to attend games, it infuriated me how bad the crowds were. But that was when we had teams and coaches who had earned better crowds. Moser has done the opposite. His results in marquee home games has driven people away.

Moser is the king of c*ck blocking fan support. Fans pour out in droves for a matchup, we squander it. I think he may be 0-3 or 0-4 for our fan hype games.

It is true, our fan support is awful, just awful...but Moser is doing it 0 favors.

I still can't tell you what our offense is. I know what a 5-out, 4-out motion offense is, Moser was a big proponent of it...but this team is just trying something new every week. It is weird AF. It's like we don't practice anything.

I am still upset about the "attack Florida where they are ABSOLUTELY the strongest defensively...in the paint" game plan. Like, seriously, WTF was that?! They are 12th in the nation in 2P% for some very tall and obvious reasons. WTF did we just attack the paint?! Do we not watch tape???

Ugh, I am over it. Anyone who has coached or played, there is no way to defend him after Florida, just none. I am still upset about this loss because of the worst gameplan I have maybe seen in my time.

FLORIDA is not great at defending the 3 and we shot THE LEAST AMOUNT OF 3-POINTERS WE HAVE ALL SEASON TO DRIVE THE PAINT!!!!! We also shot 63% from 3 and had the LOWEST ATTEMPTS ALL SEASON?! 2nd most 2-point attempts all season against one of the best 2Pt defending teams

Last thing I will say on this before I throw my coffee across my cubicle...

When you play a team with talented bigs, you have to spread them out and make them defend aka tire them out and force their hand in a lineup change.

We literally just let them sit and sink on defense (exactly what they want) and didn't shoot them out of any lineup while shooting 63% from 3.

You’re spot on. Basketball isn’t complicated. There are basic fundamentals that exist at all levels. Doesn’t take a genius to see how Florida should be attacked

I don't see how anyone can argue this. OU has had 5 head coaches in a row make at least the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. I believe UCLA and Kansas are the only other schools who can make that claim - that's pretty darn good company to be in. Unless something dramatic occurs, that streak will come to an end. As for the fan base, we all know it's one of the worst in the country for major programs. The woman I took to the OU-Michigan game in Charlotte last year, still talks about two things. One, it was an amazingly exciting game, and two, Michigan had 90% of the fans at the game. Since Norman, Oklahoma and Ann Arbor, Michigan are a similar distance away from Charlotte, NC, it's impossible to defend a 90/10 fan ratio with two football bluebloods.
