NORMAN — The Oklahoma men's basketball team (11-7, 1-4 SEC) heads to the East Coast looking to halt a four-game losing streak when it takes on South Carolina (10-8, 1-4) on Tuesday at 6 p.m. CT at Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, S.C.

Tuesday's game will be televised by SEC Network with Kevin Fitzgerald (play-by-play) and Daymeon Fishback (analyst) announcing. It will air on the Sooner Sports Radio Network (KRXO 107.7 FM in Oklahoma City; KTBZ 1430 AM in Tulsa; Varsity Radio App) with Toby Rowland and Kevin Henry on the call.

Whoever loses this one has a leg up in the battle for last place and the top pick in next season's SEC draft.
Great idea.

Players can portal into a conference, not a specific team. The conference then gets draft picks to pick from the pool of players electing to play there.

I am all for this. We would get top picks for sure

"With the first pick in the 2026 SEC portal draft, Porter Moser selects . . . a backup big man who weighs 195 pounds and will hopefully be ready to play in 2029."

Thank God they don't follow the European soccer relegation model. Moser would already be back in the Valley.

The good news is that this road game should feel the way it does to road teams that come to Norman. It shouldn’t be intimidating.

But I have no idea who will win. I think he clearly have a better group of players but if they aren’t playing well we know that the “intangibles” probably fall in SCar’s corner.

Favored by +1.5 lol. My gosh.

Without knowing anything about SC you have to imagine they have the advantage in the HC department

Has anyone heard a backstory on Kirill? Has he played college ball before? If not, why would he be given just one year of eligibility? Anyone know how that works.

If he had the normal 4 years of eligibility, and we could keep him, I could really see him being a good player for us.
I don't know if he's ever played college basketball, I know he was playing in a pro club league in Russia.

I have no idea how the NCAA ruled he only had one semester of eligibility. I guess we paid him enough to make it worth his while to come from Siberia.
