I've seen and heard hints from two different places that he's close to being gone: the Crimson Captain's Discord server (salt to taste) and on Curry Hicks Sage's Twitter Space (he's pretty plugged into coaching searches).

My concern is with the new AD. If what I've seen suspected is true and he's really a front man for Randall Stephenson, will basketball be a priority? Does Randall care about basketball? Roger Denny is a law and operations guy...was involved with the Illinois football search, but he's never fired or hired a coach. And Joe C. is still on the payroll as an advisor. Even if we fire Porter, do we get more of the same with the next guy?

All the signs (won-loss record, decreased ticket sales) say he should go. OU has to show commitment to the program with the next coach. The fans are ready to support a winner. The fan base is checked out on Porter.

It helps that even the OU fanboy media who usually don’t pay attention to basketball are calling for him to go. That should really tell the administration something.

I listened to Moser's post game, he said they didn't foul at the end of regulation in fear of the new "continuation" rule. Uhh, you always foul around halfcourt when they are trying to get the ball to the frontcourt....it isn't that difficult to execute and avoid fouling while in the act of shooting. This is junior high stuff.....he can't get the hell away from out program soon enough.

I gotta agree. Interestingly enough.. I think having a new AD actually helps moser. Gives him a “grace year” to see how he does.. to see what the AD wants from him

Can't wait for him to get a raise and extension. Pathetic how far the administration has let OU fall in men's basketball. They will also be content with Moser because he runs a safe program with no violations.

Exactly! If you coach your players well enough, they should be able to do it properly.

I've told everyone that Capel is objectively a better coach or at a minimum, he was better at OU than Loser

Whats it say about Loser that he even believes apparently that he can't coach his players to do it correctly.. and these arent spring chickens.. pack has been playing college bball since before I had even met my wife and we have 2 kids now

Nah Capel was awful but not this level. And remember, Blake was good as a freshman but not great. That team was ranked and was a 6 seed. Loser probably would have waited till February to start Blake.

12-20 leaves a really bad taste in my mouth, even if there were recruiting/player issues. That's how I remember Capel. Blake Griffin carried him. I know Lon had one or two dud teams, but the rest of his record at multiple stops more than makes up for it in my mind.

But over a 5 year stretch, Porter is worse. Program killer.

Does Loser even get to 19 wins Blake's freshman year (5-11 in conference instead of capels 9-7)?
