GAME 23 - OKLAHOMA (16-6) vs #4 TENNESSEE (19-5) 11:00am CST on ESPN

Boomer! I'm happy for Jalen Hurts and Lane Johnson. I've long had enough of the nonsense over whether OU or Alabama should claim him. For all I care, both legitimately can. Lane is really building a strong HOF resume. No matter how his career finishes, he has no chance of making it to the HOF on the first ballot due to the PED issues early in his career. I think he has done enough to overcome that and will eventually get inducted.

Yes, I know this has nothing to do with the thread title, but do we really have to talk any more about that game on Saturday?

I don’t think PEDs matter at all in the NFL. Baseball is the only sport where players seem to suffer any longterm consequences for that. Guys have even won end-of-season honors in the same year they got suspended IIRC.

Take a look at the output that KU is getting from all those guys they paid A LOT of money for. The dude from Wisconsin...has been a total waste.
Well the center they got last year from Michigan is killing it…just sayin. Hunter Dickinson

He’s very solid, no doubt. Something just seems off with that team. With all the talent they have, they should have a better record than OU….and the Big 12 isn’t as tough as it has been, certainly not as good as the SEC this year. They had a few great early season wins, but they are 7-5 in their last 12 games, with two losses in Allen Fieldhouse. Not impressive with the $$ they have spent on that roster. I don’t feel those kids are playing any harder than past KU teams when players didn’t get paid $500k-$1MM + annually (at least they didn’t legally. 😉)

Bama can claim Hurts but if he doesn't go to OU or some other place with a qb whisperer like TBOW, he isn't playing in the Super Bowl

I don't know how anyone could or would believe that we will/can win 3 of the 4 remaining home games. I feel like 2-7 is coming quickly.

So far, the only "rationale" I have seen anyone offer for their belief is that games are "winnable." By that theory, S. Carolina COULD win at Auburn. Given Moser's track record and our team's play this season on the road, I would say we have about a four percent chance of winning a single road game. Other than LSU, I would put each home game as no better than a 50-50 proposition, and we will likely be dogs in at least one of them.

Please remember their OOC was a lot more difficult than ours.

. You’re right I don’t think they can win 3 of the 4 home games. They’ll win 4/4

Great, you can get rich. Keep us all posted on how much money you put where your mouth is.

Man I would love for you to be right and me wrong. But what have you seen that makes you feel that this team has what it takes to be ready or capable to win those 4 games? I have seen that they are capable of that surprise win. I have seen that they are capable to play well at home. But in the last 10 I have seen nothing that makes me think they can be anything but outmatched and unprepared for at least 2 of them. I would not bet your money on winning 4.

According to Kenpom, correct. But duke is there highest out of conference win. Very good. But ou has the next 2 highest Ken Pom ranked wins with Michigan and Arizona.

Kansas went 3-2 quad one non con. OU was 3-0 or 4-0. Played more quad 2 and 3 the ou.

I believe Kansas is a better team, but ooc schedule, at least in name teams was similar

We played some bad teams, but brown, Howard, furman are not great competition either.

Edit: furman better then j realized. Little more credit for that team.

KU had the 29th best noncon SOS in the country. We had the 324th best.

I’ve just seen them beat a good Vandy team by 30 at home. That’s one reason
So one game against a team worse than all our remaining opponents carries more weight than 32 home games with a losing record? Vegas is praying that you gamble.
