GAME 25 - OKLAHOMA (16-8) vs LSU (12-12) 5:00pm CST on SECNETWORK

Another comment by Moser that shows how clueless he is: he said last night that we handled late-and-close situations well in the noncon. Uh, we led Providence by 9 with 45 seconds left and they ended up with a shot in the air that would have won the game because we gagged and Loser made the dumbest mistake I’ve ever seen a coach make. We led Zona by 11 with about 4 minutes left and hung on for dear life. Louisville was slightly better but our two best players missed FTs that left the door open for them. Michigan is the one game that we played well down the stretch. So of the four close games we played, we handled the pressure well once. He’s either too dumb to realize that, or just lying to the media to try to cover for the fact that this crap has been going on for four years, nor just the past month. Either way, he’s a tool.

Kelvin's a smart man.

Kelvins a cheater. I lost respect for him when he not only broke rules...but repeated it at Indiana.

I know most of you blow it off as "that stuff is legal now" but it wasn't then and he made the choice to do it. It shows poor morals....I'm not a fan of that. You don't have to agree and a lot won't but I don't really care what he thinks.

Part of the reason I'd never be on board for Will Wade either.
A lot of you don't agree with me but it's just my view.

And Hollis. And Quannas. And recruits…

Kellen, Hollis, and Quannas would all jump at the chance to coach here. The reverse...not necessarily true. We aren't a blue-blood, but we never have been. All it will take is a good coach to turn this around. I don't know what our financial situation is, and I'm sure it isn't amazing, but the fact that we landed Fears and kept Moore means we have some NIL at our disposal.

Porter has been a lame duck ever since we got shafted by the NCAA tourney, which led to us getting destroyed in the portal. The nonconference was fools gold, as it has been for a decade with us, but it honestly was an exceptional run all things considered. But this loss is the end. It was probably still the end even with a 20 point win today, but the door has emphatically been shut.

Whatever happens, I hope it happens as soon as the season is over and not mid April.

Comparing Kelvin's phone calls to what Will Wade has done is clueless at best.

Sure, illegal streams and holding somebody at gunpoint are both illegal, but there's a difference.

Don't forget that a few players ate too much pasta under Bob Stoop's immoral watch!

Semantics....we are going to debate the levels of cheating?

Kelvins was enough to get a show cause. He was a blatant REPEAT cheater. Not as egregious as Wade but willing to repeat it.

Not to mention, some people would say Wade getting guys $$$ isn't much different than NIL. I don't agree..I think he's a snake.

My point is more that he is willing to overlook rules. Doesn't matter if they are legal now, etc.

Read it for what it is..
Not what you want to hear. Your moral compass vs mine doesn't really matter.

I meant to bring this up earlier but why is there a Nissan endorsement on the court? Is that only on TV or is it on the court? I’ve never noticed that before.
Program needs money.

The ad has been there since non-conference but probably hard to see given how disappointing it is to watch OU mbball at this point.

Bucky ball?
If he wants to get into the SEC bad enough. I'd hire him.

He's coaching in his backyard at Samford, up the street from where he dominated as a high school coach.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's waiting for the Alabama job to open. Rumors say Nate Oats wants North Carolina when it opens.

I’m tired of us being the ones that play everything clean. That’s why we have fallen in such a hole in the big men’s sports. I would love to have what Houston has turned into. I think I’d be able to morally get over knowing Kelvin sent too many text messages 20 years ago or whatever.

Well it wasn't illegal texts...it was over NINE HUNDRED illegal phone calls. Then a repeat at Indiana. No thanks.

We could find a quality coach without begging to go down the Kelvin road again. I know that ship has sailed....I'm just saying.

And Kellen has done zero to warrant the job either.

I'd rather go after a guy like McCollum. (Would make Wichita happy too. LOL)

McCollum is certainly one who would make me happy but I’m guessing we missed our chance. Last year, we easily could have had him, but he will likely have plenty of offers this year.

Yeah, I had to watch the game delayed yesterday, so didn't finish it until about 10:30PM. I could NOT believe we lost the game being up 5 with 30 secs left. And tbh, it shouldn't have even been that close at the end for it to even happen. We outrebounded them 43-28. Out shot them at the FT line 81% to 57% with each team getting about the same attempts at 30+. Only had 1 more TO than them (10 vs. 9), yet lost. We were flippin 3-18 from the 3 pt line (17%), while they were 11-28 (39%). Going into this game, OU was shooting 37% as a team from 3, while they were shooting 30% as a team.

It just seems like this team is cursed. I am there, it's time to make a coaching change...I can no longer argue that, but ffs, the players also have to make shots. If we simply shoot our season average, which at home you should shoot even better, that's another 12 points. If they shoot their avg, that's 9 less points. I realize it doesn't work that way and they could simply get the rebounds on misses and still put up points, but you get the point. You CANNOT only make 3 of 18 at home and expect to win. Shoot your average and it's a double-digit OU win easily. But we didn't do that, and it put our best player in a position tonight where he made two terrible mistakes. Everything that could have gone wrong, did go wrong in that final 30 secs. That's the mental aspect. You would think college players who have played the game their whole life would know how to handle the situations in that last half min w/o even needing coaching. You NEVER foul the flippin 3 pt shooter. In the end, the coach is going to get the blame for that, when it's happened multiple times. That's just the way it works.

Having said that, I am not 100% sure Joe will still pull the trigger. I think he will, but $ is $ and I don't feel we have tons of excess $'s laying around for a buyout. We will find out soon. If he is fired, I truly hope that we make the right decision this time and that new coach has the resources to be successful. If that part doesn't change, don't expect tons of consistent improvement.
