GAME 30- OKLAHOMA (15-14) vs MISSOURI (20-9) 6:00pm CST on ESPNU

that might have been the "consensus" but that was not reality .. turned out that OU wasn't on the bubble.
Disagree. We beat Texas AND Georgia and ended up a 9 seed. If we had lost to Texas, we very much would have been in bubble land heading into the conference tourney. Those two wins certainly helped us move up at least one seed line, because Texas and Georgia were both tourney teams. So that essentially means we were at best a 10 before we played Texas. Lose that, and then a first round game in Nashville, and you are definitely sweating out Selection Sunday. And again, we had a much better nonconference resume last season.

Anybody know the eligibility situation with Kirill? Any chance we he could get some additional eligibility. I like the kid and think he could be good. I would love to see him with a full off season working with the guys.

Also, hypothetically, if Porter is retained, anyone know what our chances are to keep players that can return, Brown, Dayton, Atak, Reed, Rogers, Nwonkwo and the 7 foot redshirt (can't think of his name). We also signed a good kid in the early signing period , Mayfield I think.

atak didn't play yesterday. is he injured?
I was wondering the same. he's such a good shooter, i think it's worth the risk on the defensive end to play him, especially in a game in which we led almost the entire time by double digits. I'm sure he's gone after this season, which is a shame. I see a ton of upside to his game if we works on a few things.

He has been such a pleasant surprise imo. Of course, part of that is because Rogers has been such a bust :(

i wouldn't call rogers a bust. he's a freshman. he wasn't highly rated coming out of high school.
the list of freshmen big men who make an immediate impact is fairly short.
i hope he sticks around but odds are he won't....regardless of whether moser gets fired or not.

He was a bust this year. I had high hopes for him this year even, prolly unrealistic, but he has played way less than I ever could have imagined

Not highly rated? He was a 4 star, top 100 guy

not many players outside the top 25 make a significant impact as a freshman.....especially big men

That's prolly true esp in this portal era where upperclassmen are more valuable imo
I don't know how old you are, but I am willing to bet you would have called Stacey King a bust too, early in his career.

He got 6 pts and 4 RBs and then 7 and 4 sophomore year (and idk how heralded he was coming to OU)

vs.

Roger's 1.4 pts and 1.5 RBs..

doubt I would have called King a bust at any point.. unless he was a 5 star top 25 recruit (idk how they did the equivalent rankings back then)

But unequivocally I am saying Roger's 1st season was a bust. I bet hed agree too
