GAME 33 - OKLAHOMA (20-12) vs KENTUCKY (21-10) 8:30pm CST on SEC NETWORK

lol..this covid crap has to be over soon enough...
official site says Wague a Gr and Miles a RS Sr...I didn't think Wague had eligibility

wague almost for sure has a year because of the Juco ruling ..

Miles has a medical RS he can use to come back .. (again almost 100% )

neither really about covid

The same with you guys...

AGAIN, ya that ONE game isn't the end of the world. It's the coaching decisions AT THE END that point to a bigger picture. PM is barely over .500 for his 20+ yr career. That 5.6 seconds, in a nutshell, shows his limits.

Glad ya are ok with his coaching.
Dude, I've already said I was fine with a coaching change..right after the LSU game. WHere have I posted to "Save Porter's job"??!! I haven't. I just don't constantly bitch and moan over him after anything that goes wrong. B-ball games have 1000 different things that occur during a game that determine the outcome, it's never ONE play that causes a win or loss. Could we have defended that last play better? Absolutely!! But I look at it more from a perspective of we were down what 12 points with a couple of mins left and came back and took the lead. Was that great coaching, Or was that only because of the players? Fears was 2-11 from 3,,if he just hits ONE more of those, that last play doesn't happen like that. Garrison plowed into our defender and should have been a charge...instead he gets 2 points out of it. THere are many other things that happened that you could say if only this or that happened. Whatever happens happens. If we make a coaching change, I'll fully support the new guy. But we are about to make the tourney for the first time in a bit...so I am choosing to look at this team from a positive perspective!! Lets see who we play and go from there. The SEC is the best conference in America this year...by far!! So I am looking forward to playing some other teams.

We should all be joyous! Three weeks ago...NONE of us even thought the tourney was a realistic goal.

I would love to have both of those guys back. And if Jones chooses to return (I don't know why he wouldn't, but I've read where he may leave), he could be your starter on the wing. I'm really interested to see what kind of player Nwankwo ends up being. He has the size you would love to have on the wing, and is very athletic, but is he a tweener? Would he play more at the 4?? I don't know. Getting back Wague allows you to start him at the 5 (unless we get a upgrade in the portal), and bring Rogers along as the season goes. I dunno if Kai is a starter Day 1.

Agreed, you just never know with the NIL and transfer portal. Wouldn't blame any of them for leaving, but if we make the NCAA tourney and even win a game I wouldn't be shocked if some returned. If only Fears came back for one more year...would love to see what he looks like after a summer of weights and training, but I'd say there's maybe only a 25% chance he come back, even if he doesn't go pro.

Make that like 1% and I think you'd be more realistic imo

I was after the LSU game. I'm no longer okay with a coaching change.

Man, hard to see people defend that last play execution/lineup.

Taylor Jr, is our best wing defender. The fact that he was backside shadowing a spot up shooter INSTEAD of Goodine or any other damn player, is a crime.

You put Wague under the basket, you have Fears/Taylor/Miles double Oweh. Make someone else beat you there. Taylor would sit top of the key and wait for screens to pick up the double.

That is all, I don't want to keep reliving that awful drawn up end game defensive play.

Goodine, 25 minutes. 0 points, 0-1 FG, 0-1 3PFG, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 fouls. Make it make sense
Maybe he doesn't want to mess with the mojo since these last 7 games have been our best basketball - ALL against tournament teams. Kobe has played very well, but is it helping that he comes off the bench fresh against other teams bench guards?
