They’re going to be tough. They’ve played a couple of really good teams close.
They have been like us -- a mediocre, bubble-ish team in a lot of recent years. I think they have been better than expected so far this season, but have struggled to win close games. According to some of their fans, that has been a staple of their program lately.

Anyone know anything about Wake Forrest? Normally, they are pretty good.
Really good ball club. Almost knocked off Michigan a couple weeks ago. I mean there two losses are vs Michigan in overtime, and Texas Tech by 1.

They start 6'7, 6'7, 6'8 across the 3-5 positions, athletic guys who can score. They bring 6'10 off the bench, but he's a less athletic kid who just buys minutes. Guards are very good rebounders. Juke Harris is there best player, 6'7 guard who leads them in scoring/rebounding. There going to pull Wague away from the basket and make him guard. Like to get out and run, on a made basket they get it out of the net and go.

They did hit a buzzer beater to beat Memphis.

Pretty wild (and random) that we haven't played a true road game against an ACC opponent since 1995, per Toby.

Yeah that game alone should get Penny fired. Wake ran the exact same play 24 hours earlier (and it is hardly an uncommon play), and Memphis made about three other ridiculous decisions at the end of that game.

Wake fans no doubt hope that game will get them over the hump in close games. God knows we also have been awful in late and close situations under Moser. Who knows if this game will be close, but if so, someone has to win lol!

It would be nice if it all came together for the team this week and they comfortably beat WF and Arizona State.

I'm going off memory here (not going to cheat and verify with SoonerStats) but I believe the contest in question was played at the Georgia Dome against Stephon Marbury's Yellow Jackets. The '95-96 team also had a tough road contest against a really good Purdue team in West Lafayette. OUr squad was kinda "meh" all year long but finished 8-6 in the Big 8 (yes, kids, you CAN finish above .500 in league play) and lost to Temple in Orlando as a 10-seed.
