GAME 8 - OKLAHOMA (5-2) @ Wake Forest (6-2) 6:00pm CST on ACC Network

Those unis were one-off for the 2008 season. We wore the same threads from 2003-2007 (designed by Kelvin) and then Nike worked with us to come up with a bespoke set for 2008 that we kept all the way to 2014 (I think). If you think the pic above is bad, we actually wore a gray set against Nebraska in Lincoln and West Virginia in Charleston. I'm certain of the former, and almost positive of the latter. Having just "SOONERS" on the home jersey was so tacky. Yuck.

Coach, what is going on with Dayton? Both he and brown look a little lost and seem to have lost their "stroke" related to shooting. Dayton looks unfocused to me and like he is thinking too much and not just playing ball.

This post reminded me of the Ryan Minor era Converse* I think unis that had some unexplainable "pattern" on the pant that looked like our guys individually been run over by a car tire.

Also worth noting that the (John) Blake years cost us a lot of "cred" with Nike...such we were wearing Stanford's color....that was the prevailing belief.

* Watch this: Billy's contract with Converse was negotiated by my dad. I even got a pair actual Sooner Converse I wore in college intramurals. We lost in the championship game, but I balled out.

Edit: I like Tony Crocker name-drop. Game against Syracuse still makes smile.

I posted this in the Nebraska game thread earlier this season:

Side note: I'm a uniform fanatic, and I recognized the threads Nebraska wore tonight. It was an homage to 1996 when Converse had a template for all their teams, of which we were one, that featured tire treads on the shorts. They were AWFUL, but lots of teams wore them because Converse had a much bigger footprint in the sport back then compared to now. Nebraska was wearing those monstrosities when they came to Norman and lost in triple OT. They had a guard who hit a shot to beat us in either OT or double OT, but it went over the top of the backboard (Jaron Boone, maybe) and the officials, without the benefit of replay, correctly waved it off.

Respect. I don't read or post in the game threads much. I remember that 3 ot NU game. They had Boone and another guy that was good. His name might have also started with B.

Was that still Danny Nee? He had some decent to pretty good Husker teams.

Edit: was still Danny Nee

Yeah: idk what’s going on. He’s still the same ol film gym rat.

I think inconsistent mins and confidence seems to be it to me. But just guessing.

Hell get out of the funk soon.
