Gibson and Harkless are listed as “Grad Transfers” on Soonersports.com. That’s gotta be a typo, right?

The NCAA committee is scheduled to meet the 20th (tomorrow), so we should know if the one time transfer proposal is approved in the next day or two. Last I heard NCAA board members were not in favor of the proposal. Any news since then to give us hope Gibson might be eligible to play?

Some people want to fight about everything.

NCAA ruled against one time transfers.

That was the decision today? And was that the only way we'd get Gibson this year, or were there other options we were exploring?

That’s what I saw. There’s been speculation he can still get eligible. I have no idea how.

Big hit to the team next year if Gibson isn't eligible. And probably a poor decision on his part to transfer.

North Texas or OU?

Not sure how that’s a poor decision....

There is also the question of who will back up Harmon at the point? We’re a little late to the dance if we decide to go the grad transfer route. I could name three possible candidates from our current roster, none of them good.

So, what do we do now? Our coaches thought the one time transfer proposal would be approved, but they were wrong.

he will still have 2 years at OU even if he has to sit this season

I don't believe that is true. He already has 3 college seasons. With a redshirt, you can have 5 at most (assuming no medical waiver). If he sits out next year, that would be 4. And he'd play his 5th season the following the year.

He has 2 years to play 2. If he sits out, he'll have 1 to play 1.

There is a waiver in to play this year. They fill Confident. I don’t know what it consists of.
