NCAA board does not recommend changes to transfer waiver process

I for one would start Williams over JB. But it’s either way. We return 7 of our top 9 and all the sudden we drop to a sucky team.

LOL, come on, be better than that. Nobody said we'd suck. The lowest win mark I've seen was big through out 15. I've said we'd back up 2-3 wins, which almost certainly would put us out of the Dance. That is it. We're a game or two on the right side of the bubble the last few years. Losing 2-3 of those games, we'd likely be on the wrong side of the bubble. That is accurate. You may not agree that we'll back up 2-3 games, but you have to agree if we do, we're likely not Dancing.

Return 7 of 9 from an NIT quality team that scraped by, while missing the best player (by far) in the group. There is lots of young players who could certainly fill that gap though. Hill, Garang, Victor, Harmon, etc should all improve.. but I thought JB was going to improve and he was basically the same player. It's hard to predict that.

I have no hatred for Lon.... I just think its time for a change.

NIT quality? Based on what, that they were easily in the tourney & a top 35 team?

Oh, for pete's sake. You need to take a break. You're embarrassing yourself (and if you're not embarrassed, you should be).

For the last several years you guys keep saying we’re not making the tournament zero chance at the dance not finishing in the top half but year after year we make the dance this year we finished third in the big 12 and next year here we are again not gonna make the dance.

And there you are again if we lose two or three more games. If. If. If. The point is we didn’t lose two or three more games

With you, we were always -- and I do mean always -- two or three losses away from missing the tourney. You never state that we were two or three wins away from a higher seed, even though that what-if scenario would be every bit as accurate as your wrong-side-of-the-bubble revisionist takes on past seasons.

It’s hard to predict.... sure. But you’re pretty damn good at being spot on with ISU, OSU, TCU, TT, ...

Just never fails that OU players aren’t getting better ever.

We were definitely better than an NIT quality team, but we we 36 in kempom, 43 in RPI and 46 in NET. Braketmatrix had us as a 10 seed. That's not a top 35 team. I would like to get back to watching OU in the white uniforms the first weekend. so Top 8 seeds, Top 30 rankings. Is that asking too much?

I doubt you can find a single post from me the last 2-3 years predicting we won't make the Dance. Not a single one. Don't make stuff up.

We finished TIED for third in the Big 12, and were going to be seeded FAR behind 5 Big 12 teams in the Dance. So much for that OOC stuff, huh? And if ESPN is to be believed, they had OSU Dancing with a better seed than us. Not sure I believe that, but it's there.

Last I saw OU was a 9 seed, which is top 36.

You do realize OU won a game, easily, last year & played tough against the national champions? That shows me more than wearing white jerseys. OU should have higher seeds every few years, but making the tournament consistently while running a clean program is a great standard.

OU was only predicted to be a lower seed than 3 Big12 teams. So yeah I think OOC was a big deal.

In 2019 we were 36 and we won a game. And i was happy when we won. Still not top 35. Top 35 was your claim not mine. I don't care about playing teams close, i care about wins. same way i don't care when people say we only beat this team by 1 or this team by 3, we won those games. Winning matters. I would like to see OU do it more. Especially since we have the 19th highest paid coach in the NCAA. If that is asking too much then why are we paying a coach 3.3 million?

What nonsense. Had we finished tied for third but with the sixth seed in the conference tourney, it's a rock-solid certainty you and the rest of the glass-half-empty club would have been complaining about our sixth-place finish. That's not even conjecture on my part -- we witnessed it in previous seasons.

That’s fair. I too just care about wins, with a fundamental objectivity to sos. Sorry I’ll say top 36 instead of top 35.

He was paid that much to clean the program up & get OU back to where it should be, he’s exceeded both. In his time at OU has he not had OU in the top 19 programs over that time? 7/8 tourney appearances, 1 FF, 1 sweet 16. Again I’ll say it while running a clean program.
