Giovanni McLean Update: He's a Sooner

Lon Kruger and Juco's don't match. Its just not working.

Guys that don't play when they get here. Guys that can't make it onto campus. Guys that leave once they are here. And Juco's that redshirt!.

That is valuable recruiting time being wasted on these guys when they can be focused on other recruits.

Time to stick to HS and Prep.

I don't know. Sam Grooms immediately played big minutes for us. Bennett has started to come around. I think he could play 15-20 decent minutes next season. Sure, Kruger isn't getting stars from JUCOs, but he is getting some players. I'd certainly like to see him recruit good HS players, but sometimes you have to recruit immediate needs.

This is very disappointing. We're talking about a Bronx kid whose father passed away when he was young. He had no direction. But by taking possibly the hardest route imaginable he puts in the work at prep school, to get his GED, a community college, an injury, another community college... He rises above all that to qualify at OU and what's his reward? A trip to OU and an offer only to have his dream crushed and the rug yanked out from under him by some paper pusher whose being paid by the sweat and hard work of college athletes.

Disgusting. Student athletes my ass. Blow this garbage system up. Unionize

The NCAA is the most morally bankrupt, corrupt, and incompetent organization in existence. I would expect nothing less than screwing a young man out of an opportunity at a better future.

You guys talk like the NCAA is some armed militia that invaded the country and over ran college sports and is now operating an unauthorized dictatorship.
When in fact, the NCAA is the appointed governing body of the member institutions. The NCAA doesn't impose or enforce any rules that were not approved by those same member institutions.

The have nots in college sports out number the haves and the have nots make most of the rules. The top 60 or so participating institution may one day get some exception carved out for themselves. But, the NCAA isn't going anywhere.

What does this have to do with anything? what governing bodies in a democracy aren't appointed by the membership? The NCAA just happens to be exteremly high on the corruption and incompentence scales, as far as governing bodies go.

I would think the US Congress would have them bested.

Mark Emmert is an incompetent fool (e.g., Penn St.) and only has a $1.7 million compensation package to run a non-profit organization.

Woodard was okay, but most of the time he would score 10 and give up 25

I can't stand the NCAA but you guys do realize it is the schools who are the NCAA. The presidents are the guys who do all of the voting and hired Emmert. It is funny when a president speaks against it because it is them.
