Good Sports Bar in OKC?

Non-Basketball Issue - Help Needed.

I would like to “get out” to watch the Texas-OSU game Saturday night in OKC. In the old days, I liked to go watch games at The Varsity on NW 63rd, but that place is long gone.

Can anyone recommend a good place in the OKC area to eat, drink, and watch college football?

I'm sure there will be haters but ... right there by where Varsity used to be in the Classen Curve is the Republic. They have lots of huge TVs (including two massive ones that have to be at least 100 inches) and pretty good food.

Never been there during a college gameday so I'm not sure how that is or what tips to give, but I'm sure it's busy and you'd need to get there early. I'd rec the homemade pretzel, bacon/onion dip and chips and a burger.

Republic. Spot on. Best TV's to watch games on in the metro and unbelievable food.

Plus you'll get away from the Tapout crowd at Buffalo Wild Wings.

I used to like Daiquris, Windy City Pizza, Brix all in the same location in Bricktown.

At one time they had a mezzanine level with a bank of TVs and leather drink recliners stretched out in front of them. It was a living room with table service.

One time I was leaning back in one of the recliners watching March Madness when Chuck Hayes pulls up on one side, Shane Battier pulls up on the other and three very tall Houston Rockets take up the other three recliners. This was a Saturday and they were in town for a Sunday game with the Hornets. I got to pick Shane Battier's brain dry (actually not, because the guy seemed super smart, as well as very personable.)

So, whatever the place is called now, I'd recommend it as a sports bar.
