Gottlieb: No deal yet

I didn't say that. I just say that we shouldn't have to settle on coach's who don't want to come here over programs like UNLV

I take it you are young and dont have a family. A lot goes into packing up you whole family and moving 2 time zones away. You need to be damn sure its worth it. Besides like all married people say "if momma ain't happy, no one is happy"

If he doesn't want to come here and if he wanted to remain at UNLV, then why is he negotiating for the deal? Are you implying Joe and Boren are holding a gun to his back?

Are you implying Bob Stoops is blackmailing him from their days together at KSU or Florida?

What???

Exactly. And, he just completed a huge mansion in the Las Vegas area. He may decide to keep that and live there during the summer or use it as a vacation home until he retires. A lot of things go into changing jobs instead of just taking a urine test and showing up for work one day.

The point stands, if he didn't want the job he wouldn't be negotiating for it. He has plenty of money from his NBA days so money is probably not the only factor.

This is why I'm not getting married, lol.

But you do make a good point.

The words OU and 2 MIllion a year would pack up my family and leave in a heartbeat. If I was coaching TCU football and Florida gave me a call...I would start packing before I get off the phone.

You are comparing Ft. Worth, a fabulous city, to Florida, so sure you would make that jump.

Las Vegas, no cold winter, close to the coast, etc., even with a bad economy is a great place to live when you have plenty of money, which Lon does. He has to look out for himself and his family, and that's what he's doing.

Again, if he didn't want to be here he would shut down the negotiations and say he's not interested.

and I stand by that. Elite 8 sounds way better

you really stand by elite 8 then the two worst years in the history of the program than Tourney every year? Holy s*** you are a f****** ret***

He is getting a one million dollar raise. My wife would move to Haiti with me for that. I wouldn't need permission to accept the job.

First, I don't think we are getting Krueger. There is no way. Why in the world would he leave Vegas for OU -- just don't see it.

Second, there isn't a better coach in the Country. Nothing whatsoever against Evans, Williams or anyone else, but if you think anyone could be a better hire you simply couldn't have any objective criteria to support that. Lon is a walkoff grandslam.
