Anyone know how Dowell and Nichols did Fri night at the Olympic trials.

Maggie 8th, fell off the beam.
Brianna 10th, also had beam problems.

Gabbi Douglas also had beam problems and finished 7th.

I bet Gabby D. will make the team regardless. Simone Biles will definitely be on the team! WOW! I'm rooting for Nichols, but doubtful for Dowell.

Of the ten, the only two who did not make the Olympic team were the two OU athletes: Brianna Dowell (#10) and Maggie Nichols (#6). Gabi Douglas was a bad choice. She demonstrated that she is mistake prone after her time off.

I disagree. She will probably only compete on uneven bars, which is the USA's only area of "weakness." Here's where experience matters - none of the gymnasts can say that they've been All-Around gold medalist except for Gabby. Martha will get them together at the Ranch.
