Hefner didn't pull the trigger when he had the chance. Phipps kept impressing and got the offer. He took it and Hefner was eliminated.

That would be Rotnei Clarke who graduated in 2008. Conley Phipps is #19 (‘84) .... and Eddie Louie is #14 (‘78). Neither Phipps or Louie was the all-time leading scorer when they graduated. Max Lauderdale from Eldorado is #12 on the list and graduated in 1971..... He and Trae Young had the same number of points in HS.

I'm guessing he's a backup plan for Bryce Thompson. We only have 1 senior (Doolittle) and Polla opened up a spot. That only leaves us 2 scholarships for next year. I just don't see signing 2 shooting guards.

Of course, we have 7 post players.... 6 after Doolittle leaves (Manek, Kuath, Iwuakor, Issanza, Merritt, and Garang). That's too many. I just think we have have transfers like we always do. Honestly, I like all 5 of our current back court players (Harmon, Bienemy, Reaves, Williams, and Hill).

Garang is a wing. They are playing him as a wing already. His game is definitely from the outside not an inside player.

He can handle the ball well. I didn't see him take any 3's but looks like he could shoot the ball. He moves all over the court and appears to understand how to play basketball. He is very thin. LK has stated he will redshirt. At the practice I attended he looked like he can compete with the guys right now.
