After struggling in the first half, he had a huge 17 point half and basically carried us back into this one. I'm glad he had a big game in front of family and friends. Let's hope he has two great halves against Butler.

he forced some things early, probably pressing too hard... Fortunately ucla didn't take much advantage of our cold start. After that he was the best player on the floor imo.

After watching us fade in the second half at Creighton, it was really nice to see us bow up and answer today. Well done by the guys.

And this team hasn't even come close to hitting its stride -- probably won't until January or February. When (not if) we learn to work the ball inside to Thomas and Spanger, we'll be scary good. We're starting to show some signs of that, but we've got a long way to go.

On another note, neither had great games, but Bennett was much more effective today than Lattin. I believe D.J. had three rebounds, an assist and a steal. Neither Bennett nor Lattin scored. D.J.'s experience -- and Khadeem's lack thereof -- showed in this game.

Hield was money in the second half. You could just tell when he decided to take the team on his shoulders and carry them to a great win. He wasn't the only one who played well in that half. But Buddy was definitely the man!

Scrybe is right. Despite what I believe was a great win, this team didn't even come close to playing their best game. I agree, the best is still ahead.

That is was. Wish you could have seen the smile on my face. Watching Buddy's family and friends go crazy was the second best part of the game for me. The win came in first.

He made the big shots at key times to get us back into the lead and to hold the lead.

He scores in bunches, he'll either start off hot or go on a run where he scores 10 in 3 minutes, he is so exciting to watch.

He seems to most always have a better second half. Or another way to put it, he very seldom has a dominant first half. Overall a great win!

Really liked him attacking the rim, he's way too athletic and skilled to just sit out there and shoot 3s.
