It's the one area in which I envy oswho fans. On your boards, when a Sooner behaves as you have here from the very jump, he's gone before he can type "Stoolwater," but not on this board. Everyone wearing bright orange is treated like an honored guest here. I can only guess it's a sympathy thing.

It's probably best for everyone involved that I'm not an admin here, but if I were, you'd have been 86'd so long ago, you wouldn't now recall the URL of this site. I keep thinking that somehow, someday you're going to post something of substance, but it's becoming increasingly clear with each passing day that I am kidding myself.

If you like it here even a little bit, you (and many of your orange-clad brethren) should thank your lucky stars every day that this board has some of the most tolerant admins on the internet.

But you rebut every freaking post that rubs you the wrong way. This is a Sooner board; there are going to be lots of posts that you see as requiring a rebuttal, but can you not see how tedious it gets for those of who are here to discuss not primarily college basketball, not primarily Big 12 hoops (though of course we do discuss other teams) and certainly, for heaven's sake, not aggie basketball (though, of course, we occasionally even discuss our little brothers up north), but Sooner hoops?

Especially given there are beween a half-dozen and a dozen of you handling the rebutting, though you're the current kingpen. And, again, also considering that brand of smack isn't allowed on the aggie boards. Does our world fall around our shoulders because not every asinine anti-Sooner post on the oswho boards receives a rebuttal? No, we somehow get along just fine despite the nonsense that gets spewed there. And so would you, if you didn't spend so much time here. You'd never know what was said and you wouldn't much care.

But you're here day in, day out, playing post cop and, often as not, upping the ante (you do plenty more than merely rebut). And when your efforts are combined with the rest of the Orange Squad, it gets downright tedious at times. This is not a general hoops board; it's an OU board, and when you come here, you should expect to read some inflammatory nonsense about your team. if you can't at least occasionally just shrug it off, maybe you shouldn't be here, you know? Life's too short to seek out aggravation when it can be easily avoided.

As one fan pointed out, we should be celebrating the fact that Ford is sticking around. Hell, everyone knows he sucks whereas Kruger has an impressive track record and a most would bet that he gets OU competitive sooner rather than later. I am happy as hell that Ford has that contract. It's rather hilarious.

I think you can add a couple seasons to this comment. The product that has been produced by both schools over the last 3 years has just not been good. I am not sure how well OSU did in the prior two years but I am positive it has been subpar. Both schools are at a point where fans would act like a 20 win, post season year (even the NIT) is a good year. It wasn't long ago that the NIT was a horrible year for both schools and one and done NCAA year was bad too or at least on the bottom end of acceptable as compared to the goal.

Maybe I'm getting old, but I don't understand this new age sentiment. I mean it's OU and osu right???? We have poked fun at each other for years. Its what rivals and in state schools do. You think Auburn was not trash talking Bama before Scam Newton took them back to the top?? You think A&M and the whorns will ever stop poking fun at each other?? Its part of what makes the college experience so much fun!!!

Of course we recognize OUr struggles the last few years, but does that mean a Sooner can't rag on a poke and vice versa??? Well, I have followed my Sooners since my childhood in the early 70's, and I will always enjoy poking fun at osu no matter what we do......:OUbball-logo:

You can't really make fun of OSU for not making the NIT this year when we haven't sniffed postseason play for 3 years. I'm all for trash talk in the name of Bedlam, but we need to pick and choose our battles more carefully.

I see your point, but when one of OUr main topics of insulting is sex with farm animals, everything else is fair game!!

For the record, I have never used a farm animal joke in referance to osu.
