Are any of those games part of the Jimmy V. Coach's for Cancer classic?

Why can't OU get one good non-conference home game?

I suspect this schedule is intentional. They don't want anything too challenging. The goal is to make the Tournament and build the program. In a couple of years when they have more talent and experience, they can start scheduling tougher games.

Wow. Hope we can at least come out of that with a good record.

I'm sure it's intentional as well....but it still stinks. Come on at least on game against somebody with some name recognition. North Texas has been good. But no name appeal. Tulsa maybe, but they are rebuilding.

OU almost always schedules like this. Not sure why it's a big surprise. At most, we've added in a team like Arkansas, or somebody similar. With the Big 12 being as tough as it is, you don't go schedule a bunch of games that we'll be underdogs in.

And keep in mind, we will likely have some tougher teams on the schedule, they just won't be home games this year. We'll play aTm in Houston. We'll play a pretty good team in that preseason tourney. We might owe Ohio a road game? And I'd guess the Arkansas series would start back up soon as well.

Our SOS will be fine by season's end.

Well, I will be at every one of those games. After all, OU will be playing.

You can take it two ways... Either Lon doesn't think this team is ready for prime time yet or all of our name games are either on the road or neutral...

All of our name games are neutral

Alabama in Dallas

Texas A&M in Houston

Mich State & Va Tech in Brooklyn

maybe more

This is everything that I can find. Twelve non-conference games is consistent with the schedule from last season.

Last year we had some good little growth non con road games... ORU, UTA(which I attended), and a bigger one(Arky)... So, we have zero true road non games? Odd..
