Je'lon had a nice game tonight, looked more like his old self. 10 points on 4 of 5 shooting from the field, 2 of 2 from the free throw line, with 2 assists and 2 steals is a good stat line for a player not too far removed from the walking wounded.

Good to see you back, Je'lon!

I think Hornbeak's play was probably the best thing about tonight's game.

I think he proved this team needs him tonight. He really came through. I hope he keeps playing healthy and confident.

Wasn't a great game, but I will take an ugly win if it means getting Hornbeak some confidence. He came up with four points down the stretch that really helped us pull away.

He had a great game. Jordan Woodard seems to be hitting a wall. OU is going to need Hornbeak to step up. OU also needs Jordan to fight through the wall and finish strong.

I have complete confidence in both of these young men.

Denver, I think you have hit the nail on the head with Jordan. He has just sort of hit the freshman wall. He will be fine. I think the saying is that the best thing about freshman is they become sophomores.

With Jordan: fouls in conference have been harder to come by...he's going to need to adjust his game. If he makes the same shooting leap Cousins did this year, he'll be ready to wow next year.

Jordan just hasn't had much of an offense in conference play. Shooting around 20% from the field. Missing a few key free throws late.

Kruger likes Hornbeak's on ball defense too. I think it's an upgrade over JW. JW just hasn't learned how to stay in front of his man. I think he will, just takes time. Kruger seems to be finishing with the one he thinks is playing better. Obviously, we will need both coming down the stretch.

Woot on Beak looking more like Beak

Yes, it was going to take Je'lon a little time to get back into the flow after being out for injury. Glad to see he's getting back on track pretty quickly!

JH was very much under control a the point .. and he is a very good defender ..

great to see him coming around

very nice to see, Jelon has had a tough time so far in his OU career so I am hoping it works out really well for him - being forced to man the point last year when he really never spent time as a 1 before and now coming off the bench this year.

I feel that he's every bit as talented as Cousins and Hield, especially on the defensive side. I'm not worried about his offense as long as he embraces his 6th man role. He's going to get starter minutes playing all 3 guard spots. Love this teams versatility at guard..

Even Booker has shown flashes of driving to the rim under control. The Pledger comparison wasn't really fair to him.

Jelon had one drive to the bucket last night that made me say "Wow" to my flatscreen (I was by myself so there was no one else to say "Wow" to).

I hope this kid stays healthy the rest of the season for his sake and the sake of the team. The Sooners are a better team right now with Jelon on the floor. And I take nothing away from Woodard; that kid helped get us through the nonconference season unscathed (well, nearly). They're both assets to the team, though Jordan has hit a rough stretch recently.

JH is a critical factor for the remainder of the season. Nothing like having a 6th starter, especially one that is one of your best defenders, can handle the ball and can score when needed.

So happy for Jelon. And for Sooner fans, of course.

I could see Jelon Starting at some point as well. Relieve a little pressure off Jordan. I doubt it happens but I wouldnt be opposed to it. I love what Jordan has done up to this point and he will only get better.
