By next season he is going to add consistent offense to his game. People better look out, these boys are for real. Next season we will become Saints fans and scream Who Dat! OU will be good. Every player on the team that matters returns and will be better. Then the big guns get to play. Hornbeak, Hield and M'Baye might be three of the top 5 athletes on the team next year. Henry is more talented than CJ Washington or Honore.

I wish we had Honore coming back. Sure hope Arent can improve...

Is there anyone anywhere that would trade Grooms for Guerrero at this point?

You know who else had nice numbers? Carl Blair. I am telling you guys, he is a huge asset to this team. Not many teams can legitimately rest the starting pg 10 minutes a game. OU can.

I'm not the biggest Blair fan, but I did like Kruger resting Grooms a lot this game while giving Carl a lot more time to run the offense with the starters and bench. We'll need him to be as smooth as possible come conference play.

Sure feels good to be feeling good again.

Agreed. Blair has his faults, primarily unforced turnovers. But when you watch him with an effort to see the positives, he also brings a number of good things to the floor.

He's second on the team from three with a 44% average (8 of 18); third in steals at just under 1 per game; second in assists at 2.7 per game (Grooms has a 5.2 apg average). All of this in limited minutes at just over 15 mpg.

The downside, of course, is that he ranks first in turnovers with a 2.3 per game average (Grooms and Clark average 1.8 and 1.6 per game respectively).

Carl may not be the consummate point guard. But I'm glad he's on our team. He's definitely an adequate back up for one of the best point guards in the conference in Sam Grooms. I couldn't be happier with what Sam has brought to the team this year!

Is there a video anywhere of that move he made last night? Around the back in the lane and then the little up and under layup?

Next year OU is going to have a really nice 5 man rotation for its guards. Clearly Pledger and Grooms will get most of the minutes but Blair, Hornbeak and Hield are going to be able to contribute. OU will then have Clakr and Neal on the wing with a front court of Osby, Fitzgeral, M'Baye, Arent and Henry. That is a really nice team.
