I'm old, I embrace it.

... and by that I mean, how many of you attend the games and/or open up your checkbooks for the program?
Obviously, the first question is for those of us that are local, the second is for everyone else.
Everyone on a message board has an opinion, and mine is that if you dont support the program in one or both of those ways, you're not really entitled to your opinion. You dont get to be mad at Joe C because he hired Toby Rowland or Jeff Capel, you pretty much get to sit back and watch. You dont get to participate unless you "participate".
I've probably just angered 9/10 of the board, but seriously.. as I sit among 1499 other fans watching a non-conference basketball game (or 4000 in a good year), I often wonder where the support is, and how arrogant are we to expect a great product when the fan support is so pathetic? The truth is we dont deserve a great coach/program based on our track record the last few years (more than that really).
This program has been better to us than we have to it. Everyone wants to talk about how to get back quickly, and at least part of the answer is fan support. It helps in recruiting, it lights a fire under teams butt, and it even helps in landing a "great" coach.
Kinda all over the place, but you get the drift.
Fire away.
I'm saying if a person cares enough to ***** and moan on a message board, they should consider caring enough to do their part (however small it may be) to help alleviate the problems.
Never understood the concept that true fandom is somehow tied to donation rates.
Why does every Tom, ****, and Harry on a message board think hes entitled to an opinion when hes never done a damn thing for the program.
:clapI am a donor and have been going to basketball games since 1980. Last year i let my season tickets go. So, yeah, I backed up my words.

Good for you. In today's world college athletics is equivalent to professional sports. It is time for OU fans to stop acting like a bunch of mindless sheep. If Joe wants to put rubbish on the court, the Sooners can play in an empty building.
Look...Republicans!
Fixed.Hey now, the 15 students that still attend games are somewhat into it.
Actually, they all look alike, get to eat the same grass w/o earning that right, have someone supply all their food and drink w/o getting much more than a haircut to "deserve" it...I'm thinking Democrat...
...and I'm an Independent...
ddo we really have to drag politics into this? turning into OUI
I'm not talking about "fandom", I'm talking about support.

I specifically mentioned attendance first, for a good reason. If you attend a game, even buy the dogs and drinks, etc... youve supported the program.
