How to get a 1 seed.

well, Lunardi has gotten it right last year, all picks, and the year before missed 1 or 2. So he is pretty good as well.

Guess, not hearing any OU on the tube...lots of push for unc.

Lunardi's seeding predictions are not good.

Lunardi gets the easy part right. He gets most of the teams right. He is NOT good at the seeding. He's influenced by his ESPN colleagues, I'd have to imagine. Maybe influenced by the ESPN dollars and the big ACC contract. Who knows?

that was teams in .. he was not great with seeding

UNC's resume is not even in the same stratosphere as OU's.
They're just not comparable. And even if we lose tonight and UNC wins the ACC tournament, we STILL have a significantly stronger resume. 10-5 against top 50 teams versus 3-5. It's a joke that it's even a discussion really.

Yeah. No Lunardi is not that good. He was 36th on Bracketmatrix last year:

http://bracketmatrix.com/rankings.html

He is good at picking the field, but his seeding is consistently off every year. And the BPI is a joke.

I agree with Palm. UNC's resume is much closer to a #3 this season than it is a #1.

Body of work...for the whole season. That's the committee's criteria.

we should be in the discussion already if you really look at the resumes... however, where we are ranked.. we are not. need some help and a win over WVU

Where we are ranked has nothing to do with it. It's going to come down to SOS and this Tournament. Our resume speaks for itself. Depends on what other teams do and our performance. I don't see them giving Kansas an OU both 1seeds. JMO.

Why not? Good conferences get two #1 seeds all the time (like OU and Texas did in 2003), and the Big 12 is the best this year. Add that to the Villanova game and you've got a pretty solid case.

Yeah. It's happened something like 7 times in the last 20 years:

2009: UCONN & Pitt
2005: Duke & UNC
2003: OU & Texas
2002: Duke & Maryland
2001: Illinois & Michigan State
2000: Arizona & Stanford
1998: Duke & UNC

So there's not a great chance of it, but it's not like it's unheard of.
