and 14-4 in league. Good for about a 4 or 5 seed depending on how we do in the Big-12 tourney. Not bad for starting 6-5.

Been a weird year.

So you're expecting OU to lose in the first round of the Big 12 tournament? The Sooners play a 29 game schedule this year, 6-5 non-conference and 18 conference games.

Since we only have 11 games remaining, there is no way that we can total 21-9 on the season, or 14-4 in league play.

...OK, I see how you came up with your figures: you were including the exhibition game with Southeastern Oklahoma State. I was looking at the schedule per ESPN, which did not include that game.

I'm going to say we lose 3 in confrence play. Lose in the ship of confrence tourney and make it to the sweet 16.

6-5 Non-conference
13-3 Conference
2-1 Conference tournament
3-1 Elite eight
24-10

I may be a little low on conference and conference tournament.

Sorry, I meant 15-3 in conference, 26-10 overall.

24 and 10 would be better than any of us thought we would end up when we were 6-5.

I think you may be dead on Syb. Drop 2 to Baylor and someone sneeks up on us.

You have us in the tournament championship and making the Sweet 16.

I've got a small feeling/hope that we might make the final 8. We are due for some luck in the national tournament. We've had a hard draw the last 2 times in.

I don't know that we lose two to Baylor, certainly not three. I like our front seven better than I do theirs. I think the conference championship game is a tossup.

Every time I become concerned about the few minutes of bad play that I saw with OU, I watch several games on TV. Unless I'm watching UConn, which I haven't done a lot, I keep seeing teams that don't have the overall talent of our team. They may have one or two players, but not a group. The exceptions are Notre Dame and UConn.

I watched a bit of UConn today against a hopelessly outclassed (and now 5-14) Cincinnati team. It wasn't even worth watching, and yes they lost by 65 points.

They beat the second place team in that conference by about 55. UConn may need to reach the Sweet Sixteen just for practice against a decent team.

The AAC is a wretched conference with only 4 of 11 teams above .500 (one is 10-9). UConn obviously is very good, but bad habits are created by poor competition. I'm definitely not convinced that they will win the NC, or even advance to the Final Four.

I think we split with Baylor in the season, I agree with Syb, I like our first 7 than Baylor's. I see us 15-3 in conference, this team just keeps getting better. That would put us at 21-8. That would give us a bye in the first round of the tournament and should win 2 if not the championship. Gives us a decent seed and should make the Sweet 16, with some solid play maybe an Elite 8 showing. I sure would not bet against these kids right now.

My hope is 16-2 (split with Baylor, lose at ISU) and 3-0 in tournament. It would be fun to sweep Baylor and Texas and have a battle royal with ISU.

I am curious as to whom people are calling our first seven. I would say right now it is the starters plus Maddie and LaNecia but then that is leaving out Kay Kay's replacement and, I know, we don't always have a big in. Anyway, just wondering what people are thinking.

IF we can beat Baylor once, especially in the tournament championship, that will be great.

IF we beat them twice God likes us.

IF we somehow beat them three times, we're going to the Final Four, mark my words.

Can I take that to the bank? I like the way you think:chestram2:

All good guesses, I'd say.

I look for no worse than 15-3 in the conference regular season, and I believe 16-2 is a distinct possibility. I see no way we'll lose both games to Baylor. We likely split home and home, but, who knows, we could sneak up on the Bears in Waco, then lose the second time around in Norman.

If we finish 15-3, it will include a loss at Austin this week, one loss to Baylor and another at Ames.

Just my 2¢.

I like how you think! WVU in Morgantown and osu in Stoolwater will be difficult too if we don't come to play. But this team seems to be pretty prepared each game, especially since conference season began.

It's very difficult to beat any team 3 times in a season especially if you don't have a Griner or Odyssey caliber athlete. Both of our teams are very young this year and without a true leader, I don't see either accomplishing this feat.
