Would SLU be #1 in the country right now?

Beat Tennessee State by 34
Beat Southern Illinois by 19
Beat Washington by 13
Beat Boston College by 11
Beat Villanova by 12
Beat Oklahoma by 20

Has anyone else A.) Played a schedule like that, and B.) Have a more impressive resume' 6 games into the season?

Crazy.

Duke....beaten Michigan State, Belmont, Michigan and Kansas.

And not to downplay SLU, but Boston College is not a good win, they're one of the worst teams in the ACC.

I am enthusiastic about our progress so far, but I don't want to be a part of the movement that acts like our first loss must have been to the best team in the country. That's a bit much.

Lol, I am not saying the are the best team in the country. I am saying that if EVERYONE in the nation started with a blank slate and the rankings were formulated not on your reputation, history, or expectations but based on your performance where would SLU be ranked? 7th? 15th? Not ranked?

They will probably fall off and have an average year, but if the rankings were as previously described where would they be right now?

I didn't read your post as if you had propped them up to be the best. It's just the kind of post that's more entertaining as if you had. I understand what you are saying about their record compared to anybody else. But, it's a long time until Friday, I'm bored, and I prefer to read it out of context and mock it accordingly.

I have no clue if you are correct about BC but isn't the worst team in the ACC probably an average or above average D-1 team. You have to remember there are over 300 D-1 basketball programs. Average is not particularly good but my point is there are many teams a low worse than say the 150th team in the country.

Correct, still doesn't make it a good win. Just like I wouldn't consider a win over OU last year a good win.
