Loved those unis. Too bad we only wore them for one season. They were pretty much a direct rip-off of Arizona, but I loved them.

Nike only had so many templates for uni designs back then. Once we made the Final Four, we were allowed to come up with our own little wrinkle as part of Nike "Elite", which can only be achieved by making a Final Four. Through the magic of Ebay I ended up with a pair of shorts from that season. In person, the red is not nearly as dark as that picture suggests.

You'll notice the little-bitty OU above the chest where the seams all come together. Once you make "Elite" that spot is reserved for your logo within a silver circle.

ah, Kelly Newton, he's the coach at KCKCC here in town now. I was talking to him at a game...daughter's team was playing kckcc and mentioned I enjoyed his time at OU. Asked the guys if he ever challenges them in shoot offs...

I'm all for Kelvin...as long as we can place a child-like restriction on his cell phone in some way to prevent calls during certain times or days of the year...LOL....or maybe some of those rules he continually broke have changed now.

Doesn't excuse him for intentionally not following the rules. The first time I understand b/c everybody was doing it. But the following times was pretty idiotic
