I wonder if the upsets to Iowa St and Baylor will make the team take notice that they had better bring it tomorrow or they could be going home early as well. I was hoping that last year's early exit would serve as a warning but hopefully today's upsets will remind them.

I'm not sure I wouldn't have preferred 2 blowouts for the Big 12 teams because I fear that the upsets today may give Albany a little more hope and confidence. "If they can do it, why can't we?"

I hope we take notice and knock them out early tomorrow the way Villanova did to Lafayette.

OU is going to win big. I actually think these upsets today hurt Albany. They just demonstrate to OU that you have to out rebound the 14 seed and can't turn the ball over simply because you are the better team.

The coaching staff will show the guys why these teams lost. ISU gave up 51 rebounds, including 18 offensive rebounds. Baylor turned the ball over 21 times. Those teams pretty much won every other statistical category but the final score and even with those two horrific stats they were 1 point games.

The 2 5-seeds that lost before us last year didn't seem to help us win our game as a 5-seed.

I also don't understand why Denver has to be so overconfident in every thread about this game. You don't think the results today wil give Albany more confidence and belief that they can win?

Geez, how many wake-up calls does this team need? Losing in the 1st round of the NCAA Tournament the past two years, only one conference tournament win in the past four years, losses this season to Creighton and Washington, plus a home loss to KSU, and a late comeback win over TTech - a team probably not as good as our opponent tonight. Now, on top of all that, the other two #3 seeds from our conference already lost. Do we really need yet another wake-up call to suggest it might be a good idea to show up to play?

To be honest, I think this is more of a wake-up call to the fans than the team. They know what is at stake and that these games aren't easy. Now it is up to them to go win some games. I think they will do that.

It is a teaching moment for LK but at the same time, players shouldn't need motivation for NCAA Tournament.

Dead on. These upsets should simply confirm what the core group of this team already knows all too well---respect your opponent and bring your best effort or you will get bounced from this tournament very quickly.

Agreed.
