Is this why Capel said "We'll see" about Tiny Gallon?

TMZ isn't infallible; isn't it the same site that fell for the JFK photo hoax recently?

There have been more TMZ faceplants than the one above. Does it mean that there is no way the Tiny story is true? Of course not, but to condemn the kid over a TMZ story is ludicrous. I recommend we wait for proof before we hang 'im ;)

Actually, there is no faceplant there. Once again it just shows how thorough TMZ is verifying evidence. They do not confirm the photo is real and go out of their way to say the photo "appears to show JFK on a boat with naked women". They qualify twice in 3 sentences that the photo only "appears" to be JFK and never state they have confirmed it.

Nobody said Tiny should be condemned, but as usual TMZ scooped everybody else and they will continue to do so because they are far superior to rags like the Oklahoman and Tulsa World, ESPN, etc.

Maybe so guys. I just have a hard time giving TMZ credit for anything. In my mind they are associated with all things paparazzi, and I hate paparazzi.

I agree on the paparazzi. It does nothing for me and is the equivalent of following WW, TMG or Capel's facebook or twitter updates which I would never do.

I just know from history and experience that when TMZ breaks "news" they are very credible. They have a vast network of sources that is only growing and they have shown the ability to weed out the valid scoops.

If it's not JFK, it's not a story. They didn't "weed out" anything. They knew that putting that story up would generate hits and buzz, and that is what a rumor mill does. Facts are secondary (and that is being generous), and all you need is a few well-placed "appears to be's" and you cover your backside. They are no different than the National Enquirer when it comes to being a real news source.

BTW, the Oklahoman is reporting that Gallon "Accepted" $3,000 according to documents obtained by TMZ.

Do you really think they threw that up without getting a peak at the documents?

i just want to know how they got the documents.

My guess...

WWIII

I'd never claim to have reviewed documents that might have been obtained through illegal means. First day of NCAA Tournament, NCAA player may have gotten paid by an agent = hits. Guess time will tell, but I can assure you that NCAA has neither the time nor the resources to chase TMZ reports.
