More from TMZ on Tiny Gallon

On a side note, I am really starting to hate TMZ. WhyTF are they even involved in this?

Let me get one thing clear - I love Capel. I was very much behind his hiring. I was behind him after season one. I am behind him today. And if he's coach next year, I will be behind him then.

This iceberg looks bigger, and bigger, and bigger the closer we get to it. Bad seasons, players who quit, stupid kid stuff is one thing. Not controlling your players and agents getting involved and money changing hands is entirely another, especially when the program is under the microscope as is.

This guy is a financial advisor, not an agent. Contact is not illegal unless he is a runner for an agent (doesn't seem to be the case) or gives money (which may be the case). Contact with a financial advisor is not against NCAA rules.

TMZ is starting a sports site. And they have dirt on several colleges and players getting paid (allegedly) and what not. This is different because they (allegedly) have documentation. And the program is well aware of this.

His facebook page says he has contacts in the NFL players association for what that is worth,

Call it what you want, but he is a certified advisor with the NFLPA. And where there is smoke, there's fire.

Example - the guy has shut down his twitter account and facebook account the past 10 minutes.

Financial Advisor and Agent are two different things entirely. If he was an agent, he would say he was a licensed agent with the NFL and he would have to have at least a Master's degree per NFL rules.

Financial Advisor is like a stockbroker who does more for the athletes. In a way they are like their personal managers. Some of the athletes have the advisors be in charge of the bills, house payments, etc. This guy is probably drumming up business through college kids, trying to get on their good side so he gets hired.

Not trying to say it's a small deal, because it appears to be a big deal. But, just trying to shed some light on the difference between an agent and a financial advisor.

Players running the asylum.
Defections.
Pathetic performance on the floor.
Theft.
Possible money exchanging hands.
Possibly an agent at the game with two players involved.

ALL of this comes back to Coach since he recruited him. Although not always fair, it is his decision to award these players scholarships and thus they and their actions are his responsibility.

Wrong. He's a basketball coach. He is responsible for them when they are acting in a capacity as a student athlete at OU. If this is true, he did it before he started attending class at OU- so it is not OU related other than the fact that at the time, it was OU he signed with.

Defections- who is gone that we are going to miss? Dont speculate about anyone who you think will be gone.

Theft- addressed. If Joe C thought Capel made the wrong decision about this, they wouldnt have sat for just one game.

Possible money exchanging hands- pure speculation, also nothing to do with Capel unless you know something I dont know.

Agents- Agents are people too. And if they want to buy a ticket to watch OU play, they can . They do it at games all the time all over the country.

Players running the asylum- huh? It's the coach's team. They dont run anything except what he tells them to. I'm sure in practice the players just do what they want right?

Poor performance- Okay, then there are a hell of a lot of other coaches that should be fired for this one. Roy Williams at UNC, bad year, he should be canned for the poor performance, right?

so what is he getting paid 1.5 million for?

Not that I disagree with the whole post, but this part is hilarious. To compare what Capel has accomplished to what Roy has accomplished over his career is certainly not apples to apples. Roy gets a pass for one bad year out of many. Capel has had two subpar years out of four. I don't think that's enough, but when we get to three out of five, there may be some smoke. I certainly hope it stays at two after this year.

As a SOONER fan shouldn't you be hoping that we don't get to three. Let's give Coach Capel a chance to right the ship. We don't know who the rest of the recruits are that he's bringing in and he still hasn't made his statements on whose leaveing the team. BOOMER SOONER BABY!!!

I'm sure there's a Hale remark here somewhere ... oh well.

Put me on the ledger of Capel may have coached his last game at OU. The silence from him and Joe C. is deafening.

I am not for or against that decision, but the program IS imploding.....and Joe C. deserves just as much blame.

Of course I hope that we don't get to three. I said I hope it stays at two.

I just wonder how much of this stuff comes out if we have a winning season and are dancing right now?

Not as much I don't think. And there wouldn't be nearly as many people freaking out about it if it did.

On a side note; does anyone know where I can get one of those keyboards with the red panic button on it? :)
