They're getting out this season and playing some big games in the non conference!

I get frustrated with our non-conference schedule...

This season alone Texas has played..

- Maui Invitational
- Georgetown
- UCLA
- North Carolina
- Michigan State

Wish we would schedule some games against opponents like this!

No doubt we're more than capable of beating UCLA and UNC this year (not saying we would win, just saying we're capable).

Right now, our only annual home-and-home is with Arkansas. Pretty weak.

I'd like to see us do a home-and-home with some teams like Memphis, Miami, Florida State, Tennessee, etc, etc.

These are all big-name schools that we are more than capable of beating on a yearly basis.

At the very least, these would be big games televised on ESPN, CBS, etc, so its great for exposure to recruits.

What do you guys think?

The whorns usually play this type of schedule every year. They've played Mich St about 10 years in a row, I think.

UT is also getting better, even without Kabongo. They'll be really hard to beat with him when we go to Austin on the 27th of February.

Texas always starts strong and then fades away like a Jordan jumpshot.

We can't beat Stephen F Austin and you want us to play UNC and UCLA? Tx is a better team. If we had a good team then I'd like to play a tougher schedule. It's incredibly frustrating how far we've fallen. We are years away from anything meaningful, if we ever get back. I'm not sure Kruger can get us there but I'm still trying to be hopeful. I just don't see a lot to give me much hope for the future of this program.
