He's right, Baylor obviously did not defend well. Period. That's what Kim needs to address with her staff and team.

We all know the kind of defense Baylor can play when they set their mind to it. It all goes back to the mindset of the Baylor players. They didn't play with any focus at all until there were 8 or 9 minutes left in the game. It was a classic case of not giving your opponent the respect they deserve. And if Kim were more honest, she would have admitted that in the press conference.

I am sure that after Kim watches that video, she'll probably be a Jeff Walz fan for life! :ez-laugh:

It wasn't just Baylor's defense. Baylor should have scored 100 pts easily. L'Ville played a 1-3-1 defense, 3 defenders would cluster around Griner - that left 2 defenders against the other Baylor 4. Among those, a couple should always be open - either for shots or to slash to the basket or dish to Griner at the last second. They didn't do that, so not good coaching by Mulkey, IMO.

Gator, Kim isn't going to the coaches association meeting in NO?

Well, I wonder if the Big 12 -2 or the NCAA is going to fine her our not? Perhaps waiting until after the tournament...or no action at all.

What say you?

You can listen to Sulkey Mulkey here on podcast with her favorite media person, Jason Whitlock. He evidently talked to her the day after the game (probably begged her to come on radio). She stated she wasn't following any of the games (although she mentions she read something Jeff Walz said in paper) so I'm sure she couldn't gain the strength to take in the Final 4. She has too much yard work to do!

Would it be publicized if she were fined?

Absolutely, it would. I remember a few years ago when a coach spoke out publicly, criticizing the officiating.

At first I couldn't remember who it was, just now came to me:

Mangino after Texas came into Lawrence and got some Texas home cookin' in Lawrence.

Excerpt from an article on Yahoo:

Miller went on a memorable postgame rant about the technical foul, waving his arms while repeating ''he touched the ball'' five times in a row. Miller was later hit with a $25,000 fine from the Pac-12 for what the conference said was confronting an official on the floor and acting inappropriately toward a staff member in the hallway.

Coach Walz is right on. Kim just got out coached, and the fact of the matter, as he said, Baylor still scored 81 points. Kim might want to spend time on watching film on why she "FAILED" in making adjustments to the Cardinal's defense and quit whining and *****ing. Oh wait, she can't, because that would be the decent thing to do. :facepalm

Does anyone think the other coaches at the Final Four will miss Mulkey? I can not see Coale looking for her to go out on the town with her. Things will probably run a lot smoother without her.

Never know but Muffet or Jeff Walz might have looked her up for lunch!!!
