Arlington Grace Prep will be playing Plano Prestonwood on the U Thursday.

Re: Jelon Hornbeak on ESPNU Thursday

Thanks! I'll set my DVR.

Re: Jelon Hornbeak on ESPNU Thursday

This kid is going to be a really good point guard for OU. He already has all the physical tools to succeed at the position but it's his team first, set teammates up and do the little things for a star studded Grace Prep team that has sold me on him. Apparently the OU coaches are sold on him being able to play the point as well.

Looking forward to watching him play.

That Randle guy for Prestonwood is alright as well...

Between both games there will be a ton of D-1 prospects on the floor

Hornbeak with an early 3, 1-2 from deep right now.

Hornbeak looking good. From what I've seen he's got seven points in the first half, a sweet behind the back pass on a fast break and a nice blocked shot from behind on a fastbreak.

Averaging 11 points and almost 8 rebounds a game as a guard on a loaded team. Announcers also said he's a 4.0 student.

Just now saw a tweet from Dave Telep that Kurger was at this game.

What was Hornbeak's final stat line?

I wish Jordan Mickey would list OU in his recruiting lists with the national guys. I think he would be great in Kruger's system.

Hornbeak finished the game with 12 points. I'm not sure about the number of steals, rebounds, assists, etc.?

But his contribution to the win went way beyond number of points he scored. He's the type of player who makes everyone around him better with his high basketball IQ, his all-around solid play on offense and his hawking defense. He reminded me a little of Mookie with his great hands. He's an in-your-face defender who searches constantly for a way to steal the ball.

I don't know about everyone else, but I was really impressed with this kid!

Sounds like he will fit right in with our defensive system.

horbeak looked very good .. and played unselfish ... he is going to be a good player for OU and IMHO will play next year ..
