I watched that video clip. All of it was on the offensive end. He probably shot 30 shots and not one of them was a dunk. He showed some skills but plays below the rim. I just wonder how well that translates to the next level?

We must have watched the same video. I commented earlier that he is not an above the rim big who will wow anyone with his athleticism. But he appears to be a fundamentally sound player who knows how to use his size and skills inside.

He reminds me a lot of Kevin Bookout. Bookout was a little more athletic, but I can remember fans wondering if he could even dunk the ball back then. So, I'm not sure that can be used as a barometer to gauge how Brunk will do at the next level? There is also a lot to like about his game.

Or style of play? Just because they aren't physically similar doesn't mean their games aren't.

I don't think it had anything to do with him being white. Brunk plays below the rim like Bookout did. So did Andrew Fitzgerald but Fitz had more range. Ernie Abercrombie wasn't an above the rim player either. They all 4 made up for it by playing smart and getting in good position.

Just related what a guy who watched Brunk play in Norman told Bookout while the 3 of us talked. He said he is thick but not as big as you are to Kevin.

I wouldn't expect a HS kid finishing his junior year to be as thick as Kevin is now ….. or was as he finished college. I think Brunk is an inch or two taller than Kevin isn't he?

Bookout had a good 25lbs on him at that age. No comparison between these 2

At least two inches taller probably 3. I heard he played well in Norman. He is a solid player who knows how to be effective. He isn't an athletic marvel.

Don't know where we stand with Brunk but the coaches really like his game.
I haven't heard anything about Dante since he went home for spring break. I know they are ready to get him around the basketball guys and away from the football team. When he couldn't practice in the fall that is where he was hanging out and they aren't a good influence for work habits.
