Potentially..but I could also see the timeline speeding up to get him back on the court after tonight’s debacle. When is Jones actually going to play? Is this a Nic Anderson type situation where we are expecting him to play any day and never actually see the court
Again, they haven't even practiced fully. So I am gonna say no, we will not be seeing them play an SEC basketball game without having practiced in months.Any news if either of these cats play tomorrow?
Yes please. Can we just make it a board rule not to discuss Jones and Nwankwo again until there is any type of update?
There goes our natty.Lusk says Moser talked to both after the Alabama game, and both declined his pitch to return this season. He had already said earlier in the week he didn’t think either would return. Guess this can close any hope for good.
OU athletics feels cursed right now. I hope they aren’t drawing any NIL money.Lusk says Moser talked to both after the Alabama game, and both declined his pitch to return this season. Exactly, this seems silly. I mean I could understand under the old system but if they are getting paid and are healthy you better get your ass out there and play. And perform. Unbelievable it even has to be said.OU athletics feels cursed right now. I hope they aren’t drawing any NIL money.
I doubt they are healthy. Six months is very fast for a blown Achilles. I mean, when he tore it, everyone just assumed he was done for the year. It was silly for Moser and/or anyone else to even start talking about him potentially coming back.Exactly, this seems silly. I hope that’s the case and they’re not just sitting out to save a year. Unless they get no NIL.I doubt they are healthy. Six months is very fast for a blown Achilles. Who knows on Jones. We don't even know what specific injury he has. But I can see why a player would be hesitant to come back and try to start playing more than halfway through the season if his back isn't fully healthy. It's not like a sprained ankle or something you can just push through. Back injuries can be easily aggravated.
