I'm not familiar with this source, but Shepherd retweeted it.

Can you sign during your official visit? Maybe he's just committed at this point?

Who knows. Stay tuned.

@JamieShaw5: 6'3 Jordan Shepherd (Asheville Christian) tells me he has signed with Oklahoma.

Congrats Jordan!

They REALLY wanted to sign a PG late. Tried for a couple of grad transfers and now this. Interesting.

I like it. Could mean something in regards to other players like Mcgusty, Odomes, or Mangyang, it will come out. But he looks to be a good guard that can shoot.

Maybe he turns into Isiah 2.0.

I like the signing. very unselfish

Kruger likes to have those 3 ball handlers on the roster. I like the signing.

Still trying to settle the dust from Pritchard's de-commitment.

His length will definitely help him on the defensive end, so not like another PG but a guy that should be able to defend multiple positions if he puts in work.

With this kid, we have the following for next year:

Dante Buford (So) - F
Matt Freeman (Fr) - F
Austin Grandstaff (Fr) - G
Christian James (So) - G
Khadeem Lattin (Jr) - F
Jamuni McNeece (So) - C
Rashard Odomes (So) - G
Jordan Woodard (Sr) - G
Darrion Strong (Jr) - G
Kameron McGusty (Fr) - G
Kristian Doolittle (Fr) - F
Jordan Shepherd (Fr) - G

7 guards/4 forwards/1 center on scholarship
5 freshmen/4 sophomores/2 juniors/1 senior (assuming Grandstaff is a freshman still eligibility wise, and Strong is a junior eligibility wise)

Yikes, that's a young, small team. I guess you could put Lattin at center and Odomes at forward, so then you have 6 guards/4 forwards/2 centers for next season.

We will lose Woodard after the 16 season and have 2 schollies available for 17. Hopefully Trae Young and DeAndre Ayton are those 2.

I forgot about Brady Manek, so I guess we only have 1 schollie left for 17.

Congrats Jordan !!
I think he will be productive on both ends of the floor

I guess/hope this doesn't mean we have to be worried about Young, because we need two point guards. But assuming we are still in it with Young, where does Strong fit?

This commitment is going to be one of the best or worst commitments ever under Kruger. I don't know anything about him but what I do know is that this kid was recruited and taken in a year where the state of Oklahoma had a lot of talented high school seniors that we didn't recruit or offer...long, waters, jolly, Evans, McDowell.

On top of that, this commit takes away an open scholarship for the 2017 class. If John commits, that's it on scholarships.

I'm just baffled.

Play small and fast!!! Press like WV! Doubt Lon would do this, but maybe if he has 10 guys that can play it could be interesting.. Very bright Future.
